Description: The Pretzel Bell originally opened its doors in 1934 and became the campus watering hole of choice for nearly 50 years. Popular with students, athletes, professors, campus groups and Ann Arbor townies, the Pretzel Bell was a legend. Today, the legend has returned after closing more than 30 years ago. We look forward to evoking memories of past generations and introducing new fans to the famous Pretzel Bell experience. Our menu is a modern take on traditional American comfort food. Our University of Michigan inspired restaurant has two floors as well as the largest street side presence in Ann Arbor. The interior is made up of historic, reclaimed Detroit wood including gym floors and old bleachers. Decades of Michigan memorabilia fill the walls and cases, while the decor is warm, upscale casual. Both floors offer the highest quality service, food, drinks, and atmosphere. The upstairs and downstairs will both serve the "soon to be famous" Pretzel Bell menu, while the downstairs will transform into a lounge atmosphere after 10pm. The first floor will feature an open kitchen and a large Bell that will ring throughout as the names of those celebrating their birthdays are called and patrons cheer! Old school cocktails, beers that were cherished throughout the history of Pretzel Bell, new artisan cocktails and an extensive list of premium craft beers will be available. We are the perfect destination to watch your favorite sporting event, entertain clients in one of our private dining rooms, enjoy a romantic date in a cozy booths, and always the place to celebrate your birthday! With our one of a kind atmosphere, food, service and deeply rooted University of Michigan connections, the Pretzel Bell is the premier dining and drinking destination in Michigan!

Discovered Lena by accident; lucky for the wandering diner in downtown Ann Arbor that this establishment offers a great variety of foods from regions south of Key West with beverages and desserts to compliment. Worth also visiting for Sunday brunch or dinner.

We stopped at Lena on a whim after visiting Ann Arbor. It was late Saturday afternoon and we were hoping to get arepas which I hear are amazing there. Unfortunately, they were sold out. We both had the skirt steak with chimichuri which was very good. My stepson ordered the pulled pork. He found it to be a little dry and asked for extra sauce- which never the server never brought. The homemade tortilla chips were to die for. My husband had a salad that was a curried cauliflower. It was also delicious. I took off one star because I really don't think the service was as good as it could have been. I will however, say, that everyone was courteous and pleasant. There just wasn't good follow up with some of the things we asked for. Overall, it was a good experience and we would return. I still want to try the arepas!

I've eaten at Lena about five times now, both for lunch and dinner. Everything I've had has been very good - I've tried the duck soup, fish tacos, Cuban sandwich, and many other things. The ingredients and preparation are great, and the portion sizes are generally just right. They have a great bartender too, and the mixed drinks are perfect. The space is decorated in a very modern and interesting way, with booths carved into the walls like private rooms. It's very cozy. And the service is good.

Really looking forward to a new dining experience in Ann Arbor but just a cut above average. Had the prix fixe--the butternut squash soup was very tasty with chorizo, but the veal shank was served lukewarm, with an unctuous sauce and was a bit chewy. The Brussel sprouts were tasty but the potatoes were unwisely served with a vinaigrette that cooled the entire dish. The banana bread pudding had no evidence of bananas and was too dry and bready rather than custardy. The Ecuadorian humitas were delicious. Wine very reasonably priced.

My wife and I stopped for dinner and were pleased with the variety of options (several vegetarian). Several items put a unique spin on recipes (e.g. serrano pepper cake with lemon-cream cheese frosting). The sweet potato gnocchi in a brown butter sauce was tasty.
