“Very nice museum with a lot of interesting piece, but a bit small...”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Went there when it was first open. I like the layout and artworks.... but the museam feel a bit small and 1-1.5 hours is enough to see everything. Note I normally like to spend 2-3 hours in a larger museum.

“Impressive collection for a university”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

We were pleasantly surprised to see the collection at the UofM Museum of Art. They had many nice American paintings and more European than I expected. The museum itself is beautiful, and the admission is free. We made a donation, and it was well worth it. The dishes and Asian artifacts were abundant. No more than an hour to visit this museum, in my opinion, so it's a great place to visit when passing through Ann Arbor or while you are visiting the campus for any reason.

“Great university art museum!”
Reviewed June 3, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Not only is the art inside of the museum incredible, so too is the building that houses them. This museum is located in the middle of the University's central campus...the buildings are absolutely gorgeous. The collection inside of this museum is extensive and impressive. In particular, the Asian art is especially beautiful. There are also some wonderful contemporary pieces. And free admission (with a suggested donation). Not to be missed if you have some extra time to waste in Ann Arbor.

“Small but with several notable pieces”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

I attended a reception for the Shangri La exhibit and got a chance to see the renovated museum space. It's not a major museum but it's a worthwhile visit - check out the Tiffany glass! Wow.
