Our kids had a blast here. Great mix of science and playing. Nice separate area for kids younger than 4. "Hands-on" describes it well: there are tons of things to play and experiment with. Everything was in great condition too. The location is great: right downtown within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and they allow you to come-and-go. They do have a small snack area and they let you bring in your own food and/or drinks. Storage lockers available. No price for ASTC reciprocal members. We spent the better part of a full day here and will certainly return when we're back in Ann Arbor.

I've been to this museum with my children a few times. There's only so much to do and see here. If you have some time to kill or are looking for just something a little extra to do with your kids then this is the place. It's a good place to come with really young children. Once they're about 10 or 11, and they've been there a couple of times already, it gets boring. It's not a big place so you go through it pretty quickly so don't plan on being there all day. One cool feature that my kids liked was the piano stairs. Each step plays a different note.
