The Hostel I stayed at recommended this as an authentic local place specialising in local Lamb dishes. On arrival it was, as I was told to expect, lively and busy. Ambience authentic for a local restaurant in this region, clean and no-frills. As a solo traveler I sat with others at a large table and felt welcome, although the only tourist. As recommended I ordered (lamb) Tostadas. A huge plate arrived, braised lamb shoulder, two types of potatoes, onion and tomatoes. The lamb was delicious and I ate it all. Only managed less than half of everything else. Cost was BOB 35 / US$ 5 - very reasonable. Highly recommended if you are looking for decent authentic food and experience.
