“We really recommend Jaku-Trekking”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

In December we did a three-day trekking with Yaku-trekking and we really liked it ! David and Neyba are very nice and friendly people and they offered us a good kwality during the whole trip. David is a good guide and told us a lot, he's also funny so we spended a really good time together. We really liked the food, David is a good cook, and there was always enough for the whole group. We slept in basic places in the villages but we really liked this because this way we supported the local communities and were part of their life their.
This three days with Jaku-trekking were amazing and a nice way to discover the beautiful surrounding and local communities of Sucre. Really recommended!!

“Feel the real Bolivia”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

I did with Jaku Trekking a 3 day in the area of Sucre. Our guide David was a nice tourguide. You could feel that he likes his job. Also he spoke quit good english and the whole group had a excellent time. Also he is a really good cook. The hiking itself was very nice. First we took a local bus to the starting point an old prespanish road were we made our way down to a little village and slept in a kind of a cottage. Very nice scenery and landscape you gonna see endless mountains and you see the rural people doing they're daily business for living. On the second day we made our way up to Maragua and so the crater area. Amazing few from to top, really a unique place. On the the third day we visited the dinosaur footprint. For my in general a great experience, also we stayed in simple but nice places and could so feel more the pulse of Bolivia. And again thanks to our tourguide David, he even made this trip better.

“Great trekking out of Sucre”
Reviewed December 19, 2013 via mobile

I did a three day Maragua trek with David and had a fabulous time wandering through Bolivian country side, seeing some special historical and natural places of the southern part of the country. Neyba also did a wonderful job of providing fresh meals catering to my gluten free requirements, the only agency that actually managed this in my 6 weeks in Bolivia. Accommodation is very rustic and also part of the village responsibility to look after as part of their income in these remote places. Definitely recommend this agency.

“Non-touristy and unique trekking!!”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

We did the 3 day 2 night trek with David in the cordillera de Los frailes. Jaku trekking's programme allowed us to see the rock paintings, maragua crater and the dinosaur footprints in the 3 days and they were flexible to get us back in time for our bus to potosi. We found it difficult to find other agencies that offered all of this for such a reasonable price. The unique colours of the landscape were incredible and it was well worth doing the extra day to the rock paintings. It's worth noting that you cover 50km in 3 days so although it was manageable it was 3 full days of walking so pack light! There were few opportunities to buy anything extra which was part of the experience but do bring lots of water. David was always positive and full of energy and really knowledgable and aware of indigenous culture as that is where his family roots lie. We stayed in rustic but clean and comfortable accommodation and David cooked and carried all our fresh food and there was plenty. We would really recommend jaku trekking and this tour to anybody.
