“Lovely and relaxing”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

This is a lovely spot to stay in Sucre, a short walk from the centre of town. My room was tastefully decorated with a little ensuite, and it was extremely clean. Rene was very helpful to me in deciding what my travel plan should be beyond Sucre. Wifi didn't work in my room, but did work in the dining room.

If you stay here, make sure you walk up to the nearby mirador - turn right out the front door, then right at the first intersection, then head straight up the hill to the top of the stairs.

Didn't try the pool but a nice courtyard area to relax in. A couple of computers for use and the indoor sitting area was quite spacious. Stayed 2 nights for B350 which was good value. Had planned on staying longer but found Sucre a little sterile and quiet. Room out the back on the ground floor was spacious with a comfortable bed (and almost too soft pillows). Room and all parts of the hotel very fresh and clean. WIFI worked throughout. Breakfast was great (fruit, juice, cafe, rolls, jam, eggs, bacon and cereal). Bathroom was spacious enough although needed to duck head a little to use toilet (am 6ft) and shower in this room was a little cramped. There was a reasonable amount of noise from the room directly above via the wooden floorboards and use of toilet and shower. Reasonable but not overly taxing 3 block walk into the main square. Not sure whether Rene was on deck as this guy didn't speak English (fluent or otherwise)as alluded to in an earlier review. Breakfast lady was very helpful and accommodating.

Lovely clean rooms. Tasty breakfast. Kitchen facilities were top notch. Nice courtyard to sit in. Decent internet. Rene was a lovely host.

Only downside was that the pool was rather murky and green for the first few days that we were there until they turned on the pump- but for this price a pool is an amazing plus anyway!

We rated this as one of the better places we stayed during our 6 week trip. Very nice rooms, good showers, clean and well located. You are close to everything, especially the upper section of the city where you can catch the sunset.

Starting with a great breakfast, continuing with overall excellent spaces (rooms, comfortable beds and hot shower, common areas, patio or even a swimming pool) and finishing with friendliness of the owner this was the best place of my Bolivian holidays.

Rene the owner is very friendly and gave us some good recommendations for local dinner. Wifi throughout the property. We stayed in 2 different rooms during our stay which varied in terms of space, but both were ensuite and very comfortable. Communal areas were very pleasant and nice to relax in. Computers available to use if needed. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order. If we were to return to Sucre, this B&B would be our first port of call.

This hostel is really special. Renee, which is the owner, is a really nice guy who's always willing to help you with everything you might need!

The place is lovely, well taken care of and the bedrooms are amazing! The breaksfast is great, there is an open area with a pool, a great garden and chairs so you can chill in a sunny afternoon. The location is great, close to the center and yet quiet at night.

Your only choice to stay at in Sucre and the best place to stay in Bolívia!
