This was one of my favourite hostels in South America, and made my time in Sucre that much better. The Belgian owner Rene has created a masterpiece of gorgeous timber rooms, a lovely courtyard and great common areas. It is in a great location, the Wifi works well, it is spotlessly clean and the breakfast was really good! It is a place of relaxation so I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for the rave scene, but for us, it was exactly what we wanted!

It really is as everyone describes. Heavenly! Rene is ever so friendly, and helpfull. It is cosy, beautifull, clean, really well prized and the beds are amazing. Sucre is beautifull but wouldn't mind staying in bed all day!
It is a real shame we can't stay longer, and i would really recommend everyone to book in advance to be sure to be able to enjoy thus place!

Casa Verde is a great place to stay in beautiful Sucre. It's centrally located with everything in walking distance. The owner Rene is lovely & the breakfasts are the best in Bolivia! There's a great terrace area where you can meet other travellers & relax too. Loved this place, just wish I had longer in Sucre!

The place is warm and comfortable with duvets on the beds and heating. The showers are consistently hot too. The owner Rene was lovely and couldn't do enough for us including getting up at 5am to give us breakfast on the day we left. Breakfast is also great. We spent 4 nights here and it felt like home. It is about a 5-10 minute walk into the main plaza but on a quiet street. I really can't recommend this place enough, it was excellent.

Casa Verde is an excellent place to stay in Sucre and offers real value for money: good rooms, lovely outside space (with a small swimming pool), great breakfasts and a really friendly, helpful owner who is dedicated to making your stay a good one.

We stayed here for three weeks in May (it's taken me a while to get round to posting this) while house hunting in Sucre. Because we knew we'd be here a while we stayed in one of the larger rooms with a split level - bed and bathroom down stairs, sitting room with TV upstairs - which was perfect for our needs.

The whole vibe at Casa Verde is relaxed and informal, there's a communal area with TV, book selection, DVD selection and sofas, free internet access on two computers as well as WIFI for those with their own. Guests can also use the kitchen to cook for themselves. Rene, the owner, is frequently on hand to check everything is OK and to answer any questions, offer advice on things to do or help with travel arrangements, but everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. Together, they make Casa Verde an exceptionally nice place to stay.

One thing to note about Casa Verde is just how comfortable the beds are - in fact, I'd go as far as to say that they are the most comfortable in Bolivia. Rene had them specially made to be longer, wider and more sturdy than normal Bolivian beds. This type of attention to detail is typical of Rene's approach to Casa Verde and the reason it is so good and successful.
