“Worth going to for the movie nights!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

Food is a bit pricey (for a backpacker) but pretty yummy by Bolivian standards. Service can be slow despite the number of waiters that work there.
Definitely worth going to for the film screenings that are on each evening (arrive early as there aren't many seats in the projector room).
Easy to get to - just off the main plaza

“Good place to watch some football”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2014 via mobile

Watched a game of local football here on TV while have quite a few 2-1 beers.

I had the nachos - not to bad but oddly enough if you want cheese it's extra 6 B. Nachos without cheese ain't nachos my friends it's chips with dip. The food coming out didn't look great so had dinner after the game elsewhere. Considering how many staff were there service was patchy and slow. Guess they were watching the game too.

“Go for the movies and not the food!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2014

The only reason now I go to the Joyride Cafe is because of the free movies (purchase necessary). I found the food to be below average, especially the burgers and the nachos, the service to be average, and the atmosphere average. But you must go at least once to the movies they play in the lounge at night. We saw 5 different films there, the best thus far was ¨The Devils Miner¨. A must see.

“Best Expresso in Sucre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014 via mobile

Have not tried the food, I just dropped in for an Expresso and it blew me away! Whilst not up to some european standards, it's not the very best, however pretty damn good. Certainly the very best I had in Bolivia. Served hot and properly short with a great crema and shot of chilled water on the side. These guys are sourcing a good bean and executing it well. Top marks!

“A tourist place, but not a trapp”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2014 via mobile

We were desperately searching a nice place for lunch and finally decided to go there. As we entered it was emty. Half an hour later it was crowded. Only tourists! But the staff was charming and the food really good with to much carbohydrantes. Pasta, 2 types of potatoes and nice chicken with some tomatoes and onions made with a sharp sauce with yellow chili. Delicious
