The palace was a few blocks from the place I was staying so this was the first place I visited in Viña. It's small but completely free, with a small café on the ground floor. Very interesting building and history.

Our visit was brief. In spite of the sign in the foyer saying tours are available in English, there wasn’t one.
When we asked we were directed to the second floor where a tour was in progress, in Spanish.
We walked around by ourselves and looked at the mansion, quite interesting but there was no information. A self-guiding brochure would have helped and we’d be willing to pay.

I would recommend to visit this place.. The palace itself is nice to see and you get to learn the history about it.

The place is very well maintained with a mix of historical preservation, gardens and modern art and a nice little cafe on the grounds. There is a playground for kid in front of the property. Parking can be difficult.

You will be able to learn the history of Mr. Rioja, a succesful entrepreneur, the way he builted his palace according to european standards for his family housing and also have the opportunity to attend cultural activities like cine, concerts and book presentations.
The palace has been refurbished and is very well kept.
Thery is a nice coffe shop open to visitors.
