Bur Dubai Retreat

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 31, 2017
We recently stayed in this hotel on our trip to Dubai. We chose this hotel as was conveniently located close to our family and also the Metro station. We had an excellent room and the hotel staff were very courteous, friendly and professional and provided us with utmost superior service. We truly and sincerely appreciate their efforts and commend on the entire staff for their hospitality. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to spend a relaxed vacation in this great city.

V had been to Dubai last week and stayed at raintree rolla hotel. The best thing about this hotel is its location. All sight seeing are easily accessible and several malls and super markets are at walkable distance. Executive room is spacious with bath tub. We had issued as AC was not working properly, but it was repaired by the staff. The people managing are friendly and helpful. Meena bazar is at 15mins walkable distance. I would anyone to try it. Also the hotel has well equipped gym and roof top swimming pool.

Its about 5 mins walk from al fahidi metro staion. Lots of eating joints close by. The rooms are large and clean. Try and take rooms at the back siepde to avoid road and disco noise. Its 5 mins walking from meena bazaar and lots of supermarkets close by

a small group of 3 friends from abu dhabi ( nearby city)to chill and catch up with other friends. sharing an executive room with an extra bed.... i have booked my room directly with the hotel and they said that i was given the best offer which still was a tad more but i couldnt b more botherd
well lets start with the positive...
+ good location + centrally located + well spaced rooms + well spaced basement parking

the negatives:
- the air con takes time to cool - breakfast could be improved
-toilet amenities lack quality
-the main negative what upset us was that a couple of friends visiting us at the hotel were denied access.... when we went down to receive her the guy at reception, if i remember his name well (mr roshan) said " we dont allow guest and you could meet them at the lobby or their sports bar. we did insist and his level of thinking dropped to a low saying guys are allowed and girls are not, day is day and night is night.
we were then ready to book another room for my visitos by then and they readily agreed but the conversation was so embarassing that they chose to leave.
to the management, please train your staff to communicate appropriately with guests.
you have let down a guest who stayed with your hotel from a strong refrence but were let down.
for sure i will not be going back to this hotel. also the next time dont choose to send a security guard to snoop around anyones room. your rules should be general for all not biased on gender.
thanks

I stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. The trade show I visited was not the biggest in Dubai however I felt the hotel was grossly over booked. i travel a lot and Raintree offers by far the worst breakfast ever. They are under staffed, not enough tables and the selection was pathetic. i didn't even go down for breakfast the last morning and preferred to leave hungry than go down to the circus of a breakfast service. The hotel room wasn't bad however about 3 light bulbs weren't working. i wont go back there for.
