Owner description: Described as both a ‘Vertical City’ and ‘A Living Wonder,’ Burj Khalifa, developed by Dubai-based Emaar Properties PJSC, is the world’s tallest building. Rising gracefully from the desert, Burj Khalifa honours the city with its extraordinary union of art, engineering and meticulous craftsmanship. At 828 metres (2,716.5 ft), the 200 plus storey Burj Khalifa has 160 habitable levels, the most of any building in the world. The tower was inaugurated on January 4, 2010, and is responsible for a number of world-firsts. The tower became the world’s tallest man-made structure just 1,325 days after excavation work started in January 2004. Burj Khalifa utilised a record-breaking 330,000 cubic metres of concrete; 39,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement; 103,000 square metres of glass; and 15,500 square metres of embossed stainless steel. The tower took 22 million man hours to build.

“Great view”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We were in Dubai and wanted to see the view from the world's tallest building and it is great - I can't think of any other way, except by taking a plane or helicopter trip, that you can look down on the tops of such tall buildings as those in Dubai. We thought it well worth the expense, even though the cost is high. We did NOT go the observation deck, but instead opted for Tea in "at.mosphere" a floor below, as a more comfortable environment which made the trip more of an event. The two alternatives are completely different and accessed by two completely different routes (the deck from the lower ground floor of the Mall, the restaurant from the lobby of the Burj itself). Just decide which you want...

“Spectacular”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

The Burj is an amazing and stunning piece of Modern Architecture, tucked in with the Worlds best Shopping Centre and magnificent water features is a worthwhile experience.
It is important that you book in advance otherwise you may have a long queue or wait.
The views are brilliant and really show of Dubai at its finest. The tourist attraction is extensive with a good souvenir shop and interests for all the family. A must see in Dubai UAE.

“Truly amazing”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

I bought the tickets online as is it much cheaper and the tickets get sold out quickly. The entrance is on lower ground n Dubai mall - near the food court. Give yourself time to get there as we initially got lost and found our way by asking around. People are very friendly and helpful. Redeeming the tickets is very easy if u have the confirmation code. Entrance into the Burj Khalifa takes long as there is security clearance. The facts around the actual building is amazing. The lifts are really quickly and takes less than 1 minute to get up to the observation deck. Overall it was a good experience. Views from the top are amazing.

Must book tickets online priorly to save good amount. I see people complaining of standing in long ques. But i dint face any such issues. Views are breathtaking. Elevator takes to 124th floor in just one minute and the ride is smooth.

“Not the top but high enough.”
Reviewed April 30, 2013 via mobile

Ok, so at the top is a stupid name, but probably better than 5/8 of the way up. It felt high even in the lift and is suitably impressive once you get out on the viewing deck. Comparing it to trips up The Empire State building and the Shard in London, the format of the tour is almost identicle! Although this has the height, there is not as much to see. I prefer the city scape of established cities, but I might come back in 10 years to check on this. Overall an awesome piece of engineering.
