Owner description: Described as both a ‘Vertical City’ and ‘A Living Wonder,’ Burj Khalifa, developed by Dubai-based Emaar Properties PJSC, is the world’s tallest building. Rising gracefully from the desert, Burj Khalifa honours the city with its extraordinary union of art, engineering and meticulous craftsmanship. At 828 metres (2,716.5 ft), the 200 plus storey Burj Khalifa has 160 habitable levels, the most of any building in the world. The tower was inaugurated on January 4, 2010, and is responsible for a number of world-firsts. The tower became the world’s tallest man-made structure just 1,325 days after excavation work started in January 2004. Burj Khalifa utilised a record-breaking 330,000 cubic metres of concrete; 39,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement; 103,000 square metres of glass; and 15,500 square metres of embossed stainless steel. The tower took 22 million man hours to build.

“Very Good, As Tall Building Experiences Go”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

If you like visiting the observation decks of the world's tall buildings this will appeal to you. The information provided is interesting, the ticket priced reasonably (if purchased in advance) and the views amazing. The AED125 entry fee includes a smartcard that activates the digitial telescopes. The displays of these can be filtered to show for example what you are looking at in a night-time view or a histotrical view iindicating the desert that existed before most of Dubai was built. All in all one of the better tall building visits available.

“smooth and sleek”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

but you aren't actually at the top and you have to do it depending on the weather as a overcast day would be disasterous

“Trip to the top”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Worth a visit but be prepared for a long wait for the lift, even when you have pre-booked tickets. Not a fan of being badgered by the photographers to have my photo superimposed next to the tower!?
