The hotel rooms are more like a medium sized apartment with a full kitchen, living room, dinning area, and guest bathroom. The bedroom was large with it's own bathroom. The bathroom was a tube with separate shower. My room was on the 13th floor and very quiet. There is major building construction in the area so the noise level may be increasing as the summer goes on. Please note that all the electrical outlets were a square 3 prong style plug. There were no round 2 prong outlets. The maid service kept my room clean, neat, and as one expects from a quality hotel.

Service was good at the front desk and the travel/attraction desk. They were quick to respond to my requests. The pool deck juice bar had mediocre service. The juice bar was usually staffed by young males that forgot you or needed more training on the service front.

The roof level holds the workout facility, locker rooms, and the pool area. The workout room has dumbbell free weights, a multi-station weight stack, a few benches, a treadmill, an elliptical, and a bike. They are all in good shape. With some creativity you can do about. The locker rooms have showers, a sauna, and a steam room plus lockers. All were in very good condition and clean. The pool is small and was not heated. March in Dubai and the pool was chilly. The pool is not big enough to do laps.

The location is the concern for this hotel. It is about 6 blocks from the Mall of the Emirates. The Mall of the Emirates has the metro station stop for those who are taking the train to and from the airport or attractions. The walk will take you across two major roads to get to the mall. I do not mind the walk. Those that can't or have bags from the airport should take a cab. The cost was 5 AEDs to go from the mall to the hotel. There are a lot of stores nearby to stock the kitchen and save on eating out every meal. WiFi was free even in the rooms, but you need to get a daily code from the front desk.

Room Tip: The hotel allows you to store your luggage and use the locker rooms to clean up if you have a late flight out of Dubai. Most flights to the US and western Europe leave in the evening through midnight. This was a big plus and appreciated.

We stayed for 8 nights. Travelling with a toddler, having a separate bedroom allowing us to have him sleep nudist urged while we stayed in the lounge until our bed times was really useful. The kitchen, with 2 ring stove and microwave was perfect for simple food bought at Carrefour in the mall 5 mins walk away.

Room cleaned daily including washing up done.

Roof top pool is not that large but perfect for sunbathing and having a dip to cool down. Or there is a jacuzzi to relax in. The fresh orange juice at the poolside bar/cafe is freshly squeezed and highly recommended.

5-10 minute walk to metro in the emirates mall makes getting around dubai easy and cheap.

There is construction work nearby, so noise levels do start to rise early on all weekdays

On the occasion of GULFOOD 2013, we spent one complete week in this hotel. We were 3 persons and each one had a very nice appartment, spacious and clean.
But the rooms are noisy before 7 am, due to new constructions very close...
They are also very stricts and do not accept legimate complaints : One of the guests was with his family, and in the room was only included one breakfast for one person only (the rest of the family preparing breakfast in the kitchen of the room). He had a total of 8 breakfasts included. Instead of going every day alone for breakfast, he asked if if ihe could at least twice in the week comme at 3, the other days he would have breakfast with his family in his room. The answer has been negative, without any discussion : it's a package and cannot been changed.
We will not be back next year, for sure.

Room Tip: Difficult to advise, as the area is in expansion and always with new constructions.

We booked an apartment for three nights. The apartment is pretty spacious, breakfasts are also cool. All in all it is a good spot to stay if you are not planning on spending a lot of time at the room and don't want to spend money on some lavish hotel. Close to The Mall of Emirates, metro. The only thing that really upset me was the internet connection - you get a password and the connection should be for a week - but it disconnects a hundred times a day - you have to keep reconnecting - not successfully many times.
