“Full of activities!”
Reviewed January 31, 2014 via mobile

A free bus shuttle from our hotel got us to this park & beach in 10minutes. There is an entrance fee of 5dhm pp. Quite a large park with bbq pits, nice open green spaces, well kept grounds, play areas for kids, toilet & changing facilities, refreshment stalls, a swimming pool and nice wide beach to keep everyone entertained the whole day. At beach number 1, there is an aqua fun park for kids where many types of bouncy castles keep the young ones busy. I think there is a small additional entry free to play in this area. You can also rent beach chairs and umbrellas at the beach. Waters are clean. Beach sand is fine, soft and powdery. There is a beach soccer and volleyball areas too. We enjoyed sitting and lazing down on our picnic mat on the greens while watching families bbq-ing, play ball, chess, etc on a cool Friday mid morning in January. A favourite hang out outdoor place for local families. There is a public bus, number c28, outside the park entrance that you can hop on to go to downtown dubai ( gold souk station ). Fortunately for us, it also stopped very close to our hotel, Traders Hotel. There are also many taxis at the entrance. Will definitely return the next time we are in Dubai.

“My favourite beach”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Such a fantastic area. Usually a lot quieter than the other beaches too. A lot of hotels in the Deira district have free shuttle service to and from this beach. An extremely relaxing evironment.

“a nice park with a view”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

The park is huge (106 hectares!!!). You could easily spend a good couple of hours just exploring it (walking or riding the bike). The way it was built gives you access to more than one beach, which makes it a somewhat cozy and intimate experience. Of course, it depends on which day you're going because it can also get crowded, but, don't worry, it will never be as crowded as the Jumeirah Beach Park, for example. It has one major advantage: all that space (with plenty of shadow, but also plenty of sand, fine white sand, too). There are barbecuing facilities next to the ones already mentioned.

There's a train to give you a tour of the park if you want to. The kids enjoy it the most.

A lazy afternoon in the sun (don't forget the sunscreen, but if you do, no worries, you can get some there, too)!
