Owner description: The Jumeirah Mosque is a must see since it is a land mark of Dubai. It is not the largest mosque in the UAE, yet it is one of the few open to non-Muslims. The Visit Programme is hosted by The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding. The visit itself takes about an hour for a small fee. Mosque visitors get the chance to observe the prayer and learn more about the customs of worship and ask any questions under the banner program "Open doors. Open minds." Jumeirah Mosque showcases the medieval Fatimid architecture in its stone construction. Visit tours are offered daily accept Friday and begin at 10am sharp. No pre-registration is required. Plan to arrive at 9:30am for registration and enjoy Emirati snacks and hot beverages. Doors will close at 10:05am and will reopen at 11:15am. There is only one guided tour daily. Entry fee is 20AED per person while children under 12 free. The Mosque grounds are open all day, and you may view the Jumeirah Mosque's beautiful architecture from the outside any day of the week. Located at the end of Jumeirah Beach Road, the closest Metro stop is Al Jafiliya. From there you can take a short taxi ride to the mosque or transfer to C10 RTA bus. Modest dress is advisable, however national attire can be borrowed at the door.

I finally visited the Jumeirah mosque during my latest visit, and wish I had done so sooner. It was very interesting, learned quite a bit about Islam, they answered a lot of the questions that foreigners have about Muslims, why they do certain things, wear certain clothes, prayer routines, etc. You should definitely cover up when you visit. You don't really need to bring a headscarf because they have plenty that you can borrow.

Well worth the time. The visit gave us a good insight into the Islam as religion, a very god lecturer presented us for the 5 pillars of Islam, and gave good answers to the questions the visitors had. A plus for the complementary water that was handed out while we were waiting for the tour to start

It's is an excellent opportunity to get an insight into another religion. If you're even vaguely interested in Islam then you should definitely pay a visit to the mosque. There is one tour every other day starting at 10am - but you should be there by 9.45 so you can register. It costs 10AED, which is a donation to the mosque, for a very educational hour and a quarter. You will be shown everything from how they wash themselves before prayer and how they pray. There is a question and answer session at the end as well which is very informative.
The speaker was a lady from London with a deep cockney accent, which I thought was unusual!

Jumeirah Mosque has 1 tour per day (certain days of the week are excluded), starting at 10am. Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before, you have to register and pay a small admission. If you are not properly attired, they will provide you with clothing/scarves.

It is a beautiful mosque and the tour was very well run and very informative with a question/answer session at the end. They cover Islam in general as well as the history of the mosque. The entire tour lasts 75 minutes. They supply free water during the tour. Photography and filming is allowed inside the mosque.

Like other reviewers have stated, you must go during designated times Also, be sure to dress modestly! Women will be provided headscarves if you don't have one already and if men's shorts are too short they'll be given a kandura.

After that, you'll get to find out what exactly Muslims do when they're at the mosque. If you go to Dubai, you miss out on most of the Emirati culture because it's so flashy and so many foreigners live there.- Jumeirah Mosque lets you in on a little bit more of the culture and it's a great learning experience.
