“Worth for money”

I booked this hotel for some of our company employees who were transiting in Dubai. They need accommodation from 2pm to 1200 mn so I booked this hotel for them. Hotel is worth for its price. Rooms are cleaned. I really liked the food in this hotel specially the club sandwich!!!!! Chief should commend for this. Housekeeping staff is very polite. Reception too. As many have commented lift is very slow.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights recently. The foyer is very grand which leads you to the reception and to the lifts. We stayed in room 1215 - quite spacious and clean, with en suite w/c, mini bar, balcony, tv with variety of channels. This hotel is in Bur Dubai, which is quite far out from the tourist haunts, so taxi's or even better the metro is required.

We did have a problem here. When we arrived my partner had prepaid for our stay, but because he had a new credit card since the booking, and the details were not the same, the hotel requested we pay the amount again, and that they would refund the initial payment. This has not happened to date, despite numerous conversation by means of telephone calls and emails with the hotel. I have given the hotel a good review, but travellers need to be aware that this may happen to them at this hotel also.

We stayed for 3 days in May and found the hotel to be very good for what we wanted to do in Dubai. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet at night. The pool areas was great and well used in the hot weather. The staff were friendly and the breakfast excellent. The location is okay although a 'hot' 10 minute walk to the metro at this time of year. There is a Spinneys supermarket between the hotel and metro so fill up the room fridge with your own drinks as the hotels mini-bar prices are very expensive. We got a good room and breakfast deal through Hotels.com for our stay. We used the hotels airport pick up and drop off service and though its a little bit more than a taxi, it is a lot more convenient.

stayed here 12 days with my wife.. this is a lovely hotel which provides great value for money. its a 4 star and gives exactly that. delivers what it promises.
the staff is great and very friendly, right from the valet to reception to bellboys to the waiters in the restaurants.
the hotel is a lil away from the main attractions but taxis are easily available anytime of day or night and the metro is not to far either.
they have very nice Bars and Restaurants in the hotel too and a great Gym as well as a pool.
i would recommend this place and if u stay, try a higher floor for great views.
all in all a GOOD hotel that i RECOMMEND strongly.
cheers n have fun!

Room Tip: higher floor

Clean hotel very well presented with great valet parking. Our room was on the 21 st floor and had the most amazing balcony and un interrupted view right over dubai city. The hotel staff were friendly the breakfast good. Wi fi is not free and this should be addressed and the lack of light evening entertainment suitable for small children was a draw back. That said we spent very little time in the hotel anyway over the 7 days we stayed so it was not a real factor. The location was okay but I would recommend a hire car if you plan to stay here and see all of the dubai sights. Driving around the city is easy and parking free in the hotel so long as you get your valet stamp before collecting your car from reception. The pool is lovely and open from 6 am till 10 pm. When booking a room ensure you book it to include the service charges etc. children under the age of 6 will have to share An existing bed unless you pay extra regardless of your booking. Overall though as a hotel to stay and explore dubai from I rate it highly and would happily stay again.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Booked three rooms and arrived at 2am tired from our flight. We had paid for that first night as we wanted to be sure that we could get in and go to bed on arrival. It was an excercise in frustation as it took front office staff 40 minutes to complete our paperwork and give us our keys. At this stage we look around for our bags - they had been left at the base of the 10 or so stairs that are at the front of the building. No porter service. We took the lift up to our rooms. One was fine. The other two had to be changed. One was meant to be a smoking room, but had been placed in a non-smoking room; the other was meant to be a twin room (seperate beds) but was a king sized bed. Back down to reception to get a new room (no help from porters once again), move and finally to bed - but the process took way too long, and there was no apology or acknowledgement of this. For the remainder of our stay they had great difficulty in working out who we were and what rooms we were in, and called us the wrong names.

Others talk about the lift issue. Most times it was OK. But one morning was an absolute pain. Have we set the new record? It took 25 minutes to get a lift that would stop at level 14 that wasn't full. Luckily I was only going to breakfast, but some others who were waiting to catch the lift had suitcases and were trying to get to the airport, I only hope that they make it.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff were fabulous. One morning I came back as they cleaned my room and they couldn't have been more attentive.

The hotel acknowledged the birthday of one of our party - they must have picked that up from her passport, and she arrived back to find a letter and a cake - which was a lovely touch.

Tried to book a massage - the day spa staff had no interest whatsover in provding information or getting a booking. When we asked what services they provided, we were handed a one page laminated sheet and without speaking to us he turned away. We asked a few questions and were given monosyllabic answers. Needless to say we went elsewhere.

Location was OK - dependent upon what you want to do, but honestly taxis are so plentiful, cheap and clean that it was never an issue to go anywhere.

No tourist information available. I asked at reception and was directed to the business centre. They said they didn't have any either but did offer for me to use their computer. I really think that they could improve this.

Breakfast daily and one dinner at the hotel were decent. There is a reasonably strong Indian influence and inclusion in the menu, and the hotel seems to cater for a fairly large Indian contingent. Foods were plentiful and generally tasty.

On booking out they couldn't find the paperwork for the funds put to my credit card as security. Hardly surprising, given the debacle of booking in. Luckily though it has been reversed since my return, so all has worked out in the end.

I probably wouldn't stay here again, but the price was very reasonable - so really - you do have to balance that up with the inconveniences caused. Had we not had the initial problems on checkin perhaps I would judge them less harshly. We neve did get an acknowledgement that this was poorly handled - even after we completed their Guest Survey.

The hotel itself was comfortable. Facilities were quite good except for the wifi which they allowed free for 1 hour on a daily basis. For a country like Dubai, free wifi should be available 24 hours. Other than that, location was quite good, close to Meena's Bazaar with eating places and supermarket close by. Tourist attractions were not close though but the taxi fare was not bad.
