We came in a group and immediately received a warm welcome starting from valet up until we have reached our rooms. A cake was presented to a Friend who happened to be celebrating her birthday. All were friendly during our short stay. The room was just right for twin sharing. Everything that we needed was just within reach - shopping malls, the beach, the Souqs, the Museum. It was very close to the Metro too! There were various restaurants in the hotel and their food was great. The spend was all worth it!

The price rates according to the service rooms and overall structure of the hotel is economical and 24hrs room service available... Its located in the heart of the city very near to very famous fast food joints and gud restaurants in dubai... the hotel has its own pub and a karoke bar where u can relax and have drinks and if u love to sing hindi english songs u can have a chance to show ur talent over there... I would rate the hotel a 4*

The hotel's web page claims two things that according to us is not true: 1. The hotel is not in the very center of Dubai, at least if you by center refer to down town. It is in Bur Dubai, which is maybe 10 minutes by taxi from down town (= Burj Khalifa). 2. "Five star quality at four star value". This is definitely not true! The hotel itself with interior and all is very nice and comfortable. Many restaurants and a 24/7 open coffee shop. But our problems started already at check in. The receptionist wanted to upgrade us to something that we already had payed for!? Then it continued with simply bad service from foremost housekeeping. They did not clean the used glasses, did not replace used glasses, only one bathrobe which "lost" its belt the last day, wrong number of towels, no refill of amenities etc. This may sound picky but it is _not_ five star quality.

Roomservice was also quite bad, we did not get what we ordered. The food was alright though and also the guy who delivered the food was very friendly.

A few more really annoying things with our stay was that the TVs and the signal quality was really lousy, remote had bad batteries, the internet connection that we paid a lot for was so slow that my husband could not work from the room. The wi fi in the other common ares was also very slow - so no high speed internet.

In the bedroom was a, for us, unexplained buzzing, like somebody was vacum-cleaning all the time.

Some positive aspects: it was very easy to get a taxi, the bellboys where very friendly and check out was correct and ran smoothly. Just three minutes walk down the street where pharmacies, restaurants, malls and groceries. Very nice and convenient.

So we did like somethings about the hotel, but did absolutely not agree with the promise of getting five stare quality at four star value.

Arrived in Dubai on a very late night. Pickup arranged by the hotel was efficient and comfortable. No misses.
Was assigned to a nice deluxe room on the seventh floor with a decent view. Room had a separate social area sitout with large working TV and a small dining area. The room was very clean and functional. Good clean bathrooms with very decent amenities. Bed was king sized, large and very comfortable. I had excellent quality of sleep on both the nights that I stayed. Breakfast was complimentary and had a good choice including Indian vegetarian. Only hassle was that the internet in room, very pricey never worked. But wireless was complimentary in all the common areas, lounges and hence was not an inhibiotr to getting work done.
Great city location with proximity to restaurants

Beautiful hotel. Room was great, good beds, nice bathroom. Lots of TV channels. AC was if anything too powerful. Close enough to Old Dubai to walk. Only issue was the front desk staff weren't well informed on locations of some things in city. Our biggest complaint was there was no free wifi (lobby area was spotty), and getting it through the room was pricey (60cents/min up to a max $21USD within 24hrs. Otherwise, everything was in working order. Solid choice, and from our understanding it's fairly reasonable for Dubai – we paid $115/night incl tax.

The Majestic Hotel was completely fine but not the most memorable part of our trip to Dubai. Given the cost of 4 and 5 star hotels though, we definitely received good value ifor our money. Our flight was delayed and our group of 15 did not arrive at the Majestic Hotel until 1AM. The hotel staff was very accommodating and had dinner waiting for us in their downstairs pub. The rooms were small but modern and those above the 6th floor had spectacular views of the Dubai skyline. There were current and free magazines in the room as well as a safe and complimentary water.

The gym was very disappointing - it was tiny and only had 4 pieces of cardio equipment - all of which were several years old. The business center hours were extremely limited - it closed at 6 each night. Luckily the front desk staff allowed us to use their personal computer to check flight information. There were only two elevators in the entire hotel which made travel very time-consuming. The Greek restaurant with the breakfast buffet was delicious with fresh fruit, waffles and several other hot items, and numerous cereal selections. I only visited the pub but the hotel had other restaurants/bars that seemed lively and fun. There was free wi-fi in all common areas.

The location was only okay - it took several minutes to cab to the downtown areas.

I booked this hotel for a fortnights holiday for my fiancee and I in a deluxe room.
Arriving at the hotel (via a £11 airport transfer fee), which is half that in a taxi.
I was Impressed with the hotel, the check in and initially the room, which was spacious with
what seemed like a massive bed (two singles together) a brilliant balcony and a bathroom which contained a bath which
was the biggest i had ever seen.
However, the balcony had no furniture in it so we had to move the chairs out there, which where moved back in to our room as soon as we turned our backs!.
The bath! well we discovered that it was fed with hot water from a tank 1/4 the size of it!
therefore it took about two hours to fill, with about ten kettle loads of hot water added aswell.
(the kettle had to be put on the floor as the cable was too short to reach the socket)
I had to leave a note for houskeeping to get my tea/coffee replenished daily
Do not attempt to use the inroom internet connection as it is extremely slow and very expensive,
however the WIFI is good in all public areas in the hotel
we ordered room service which was adequate but nothing special.
The food in Barrels bar was not much better. we ordered what was descibed as 'irish pork sausages' and turned out to be
german frankfurters fried!!! gross!
the chicken caeser salad was dressed in what tasted like the deep fat frier residue and the cans of coke came in at £4 a can!!
Breakfast was OK but if the hotel is full be prepared for a battle for tables and also dodging other guests whilst carrying your french toast in one hand, you fruit juice in the other
and your tea/coffee on your head. If you leave your table it gets cleared so carrying all your supplies is standard.
The swimming pool is a waste of time.
don't plan on lazing by the pool all day as you spend the first 2 hours 'chasing the sun' around the patio!, as the building next door casts a huge shadow before you go inside defeated.
The lift; again if the hotel is busy you will have a wait, two small vehicles ferry guests from the ground to the 27th floor!
it became so bad we had to use the stairs a few times(we were on the 14th floor!)
we stayed new years eve and attended the party by the pool!
The main barman was rude and ignorant and charged my fiancee 4 times for a glass of wine than what the other staff charged.
then ignored our arguments.
In summary there where bad points plus good points, staff friendliness, cleanliness of rooms and hotel ad view from our balcony,
but i wouldnt stay here again for leisure, Maybe if i were visiting on business and needed a decent hotel in Bur Dubai would i consider staying again
