We decided to book this hotel as we were doing a long haul from Australia to Europe with our 3 and 5 year old children, and it was a godsend! We booked a stay for 16 hours both on the way to and back from Frankfurt and requested a connected family room with 2 single beds and a double bed.
We were met at the gate each time (although I dont remember specifically asking for this service) and were escorted through the security check (past the long queue) and straight to the check in at the hotel.
Our check in took a while (15 mins) which feels a long time when you are exhausted and have two small whining children, however the room was ready and we got in without any hassles. We had promised the children a swim and therefore had packed our bathers etc and made our way to the health club- which we basically had all to ourselves and the pool (although a little cold) was great. So nice to unwind and stretch the legs and let the kids expend some of that built up energy from the long flight.
We then ordered a room service dinner which was prompt although pricey for what we got... and had to pay in Euros which is subject to the "hotel exchange" rates. We were happy though and for the convenience we figured the extra cost was worth it. The kids and us slept really well and were very refreshed for our on-going flights.
The cleanliness was ok- the room itself was fine and nicely furnished- but they do need to address the mould (blackening grout) in the bathroom- for me it really detracted from the overall appearance and feel of the room. I kept thinking- gosh they just need a bottle of domestos and a good scrub!
