Although a 4* hotel, the services are 5*. All the staff are courteous, check-in was quick and swift. The hotel & the rooms are very clean. Breakfast was the best part, having stayed in many 5* and 4* hotels in Dubai, the breakfast here is one of the best as well as the overall quality of the hotel. Location is quite convenient, being in central bur Dubai and around 10 minutes walk from the metro station. The only problem that I faced was that the air-conditioning thermostat was not working properly and my room became an igloo in Dubai but overall, I will be back here again and again as this hotel is an excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for road facing rooms if you want to enjoy some views.

I stayed here for 2 nights recently while getting my apartment fixed up. The valet / concierge service was definitely good but the check in process was slow. The room was spacious but had a musty smell - which the housekeeping couldn't do much about. The wifi is ridiculously expensive and not that great. The food (breakfast) was average - definitely not something to write home about!! The pub was well stocked and had some nice music playing. The only saving grace as far as I could see was the location (extremely convenient - with proximity to public transport). I have stayed at much better hotels in Dubai for the same rates and so couldn't help feeling that the hotel is overrated!!

This Hotel I uesd for a weekend city break so the price and location mattered. It's right next doors to Citymax Burdubai which is a budget hotel but for a similar rate u can stay at Dhow Palace and get the benefits of a decent 4star (with Room Service, Concierge, Valet, etc)

The lobby has a cruise ship ambiance (Dhow meaning a ship in Arabic) but I'd say the lobby needs refurbishment.

The Rooms are Amazing and big with wood and marble floor tiling. And its free Wifi (not so common in Dubai). The Beds are luxurious.

In-Room Dining is simply outstanding. I ordered a club sandwich and it arrived in 10 minutes.

There is a lot of singles's entertainment on site. There is an Indian Cabaret restaurant, A Russian Room with entertainment, A Pub & Sports Bar, And night Club in the Basement.

Now the negative:

The Checkin Staff were curt and never smiled and you just wanted them to finish so u can get over the unpleasant experience. The Valet really had a mind of it's own. For the size of the hotel it took forever to get your car.

So in conclusion I'd say if Lobby Ambiance is not important and Room comfort, in-room dining, entertainment on premises and price is, then this is a good (but not great) choice.

In a group of 14 people, we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently. It is a good property with spacious rooms with all required facilities. Breakfast at its Docklands Restaurant offers a good spread even for strict vegetarians like us. Overall a pleasant experience. However, although the hotel website says it offers free wi fi internet service, it is not free but chargeable.

service is not that great, but we were upgraded to executive room :)
Great bed, skip the breakfast! Definitely don't pay for breakfast, but even if it's included in your room rate, we all found it quite terrible

The building looks like boat. Its called Dhow in local language.

Its cozy, conveniently located and comfortable hotel. Though I stayed in many other hotels within same vicinity in past. I found this to be much better than others. Of course, price is also higher.

The rooms are big enough and nicely decorated. Bathroom is spacious. There are many restaurants within the hotel giving you variety of cuisines to choose from. Hospitality is very good. Airport transfer was arranged by hotel.

The light fittings in the room was not so good. I had to move my suitcase to bed to unlock using number pad. Though there are many lamps in the room, it still gives dim feeling. Similarly, in the bath room, there should be proper light on the washbasin, specially required while shaving.

I did not find any environment conserving initiatives. There is huge scope in saving plastics, electricity and water.

Breakfast spread was good. WiFi inside room was also good.
