“charming, convenient and reasonably priced”

I stayed here 4 times in the past few months for work and would definitely return. The staff (especially Pinky and Asha and Taleel at reception) were so helpful and patient with all of our groups requests. Everyone working there is very friendly, especially the bellhops (who wear a rather ridiculous alladin/maha raja style costume) The rooms are spacious and clean, the only thing I didn't like was that the windows are locked shut. This is obviously to prevent dust and heat from entering the VERY cool air conditioned rooms... but I still like to have the option to open the windows. Anyways, the restaurant options are fabulous. The Indian place had some of the best food I have had in Dubai. There is even a small pool with a perfectly functioning gym and helpful assistant. The location is perfect. Couldn't ask for more in that price range for Dubai.

Room Tip: Try to get a room far away from the elevators as they can be busy with people and staff moving abou...

The Arabian Courtyard Hotel is a perfect spot if you want to feel that you are in Arabia while in Dubai. It is across the street from the Dubai Museum, a quick stroll to Dubai Creek for access to the dhow trips to the Gold Souk, heritage village, and a waterfront walk along the embassies and State buildings. There are plenty of inexpensive Indian restaurants for some good eating. If you want to get out to the shopping malls, the Metro is only a 7 minute walk and Dubai Mall is around 20 minutes away by Metro.
The service at the hotel was superb - they accommodated our request for connecting rooms, valet parked our car for free, and let us use the pool and change rooms while we waited for an early check-in. We got a deal on Agoda so the value for money was exceptional as well.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the museum are atmospheric. Quiet on the 6th floor.

This is one of the best value for money hotels I have stayed in !
The staff cannot do enough for you and are extremely polite. There are 4 places to eat, Indian, Chinese, Italian and Local plus a pub with live music. The band "Rumours" were very good and never had a bad meal. Excellent choices available for breakfast. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The hotel is immaculate and has a very traditional theme. Its across the road from the museum, which is well worth a visit, from where you can hop on the Dubai tour bus. its only 10 minutes walk to the metro or the boat bus to the gold and spice souks. check-in/out was swift and drama free as were the 4 days I spent there. The only down side was the Spa which cocked up our booking for a massage so we had to miss it !! However,I will definitely stay here when I return.

Room Tip: Best rooms are facing the Museum/creek

The Arabian Courtyard Hotel and Spa is well located in central Dubai, just across the street from the fabulous Dubai Museum.

I stayed four nights in this somewhat dated but charming hotel. My room had two double beds, a flat screen TV with cable channels (including CNN and BBC), a writing desk, large closet with bathrobes and lots of coat hangars, dressed with plenty of drawers, lamps here and there, and completely air-conditioned.

The bathroom was very small but had a bathtub and shower, commode, sink and some amenities. It was a clean as the room and a few nice towels.

I was very pleased that the hotel offered 24/7 WiFi at no charge. It saved me a fortune!

In the hotel’s location were plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops.

Located in the old part of town not the newer part. Ten minute walk to the metro. 25 minutes to the airport. You can get an early check in if you pay an extra $175. I don't mind paying extra but at first they tell you the room is not ready but if you agree to pay the extra it is suddenly ready. If you choose to stay here and need an early check it get it figured out in advance. Air conditioning in the room was not very good which made for restless sleeping. There is a Mosque near by so we got to hear the prayers all day. And we heard them very clearly. Sherlock Homes bar was good. Staff was nice and helpful.

We stayed here twice on the way to and from Nice. Unfortunately only on our last night did we try the in-house Muntaz Mahal award winning restaurant, or else we would have eaten there every night.
The food is superb and the service is five-star. The receptionist told us on check-out that it is one of the best Dubai restaurants. We agree. Have the mutton rogangosht or the chicken malai tikka for a fantastic taste treat. Much better than the usual 'English Indian" that we're used to.
The rooms are very comfortable and big, with a huge bed and free wi-fi.
All the staff speak English and are friendly and informative. The included buffet breakfast is delicious and the man who makes freshly cooked eggs for you has a great smile. Eat your breakfast overlooking the Dubai fort/museum.
The only downside is that smoking is allowed in the Sherlock Holmes pub. There is, however, a non-smoking section but it's a bit out of the way. Happy hour is 6pm till 8pm.
We'll stay here again because it provides a taste of old Dubai with it's Arabian theme, right down to the doorman in his Arabian costume with curly shoes.

Had a great stay (2nd time) for 3 nights. Staff brilliant and made me feel special for my 50th - had a gift, special birthday cake and a fruit basket waiting. Great location to see the real Dubai opposite the Dubai Museum - worth a visit for 3dhms (50p). Just a 10 minute walk to the creek where you can get the Abra (boat) 1dhm (20p) to the Gold souk and spice souk (great to visit in the evening) open between 5.30pm to 10pm. You can walk to the metro in 15/20 minutes which is worth the experience if you want to visit the Dubai and Emirates shopping malls independently. Or you can get a taxi from the hotel to Dubai mall (25/30 dhms). The Burj Khalifa is also located in the Dubai mall, but it is advisable to book tickets on line before you travel as they are generally sold out on the day. The hotel has a great pub on the second floor and is reasonably priced selling good food with a small non smoking room with live entertainment.
