It's nice quite hotel. Good realativly price! Size of launge is very small. Room sizes are small. It's clean. Comfortable beds. Location is a little bit far from Dubai center. But overall it was nice place compared to its price! The breakfast buffet is normal standard!

We booked a family room on the way and way back from Perth to Dublin. The Arabian Courtyard Hotel was everything I expected from the previous reviews on Trip Advisor. The taxi fare from the airport to the Hotel cost just under 60 AED (the return fare was cheaper) We checked in very late at night, staff were young slow and inexperienced but this was speeded up by a more experienced staff member. The family room was lovely cool and comfortable though the aircon was a bit noisy. The hotel decor is "old" fashioned but that was what I expected and wanted. Great location I just wished I had more time to explore. Breakfast which was included in our room rate was excellent. The pool area is small and needs a revamp but it was satisfactory nothing fancy but nice enough. We caught a cab to Dubai Mall and it was 35 AED. A visit to the Museum across the road is a MUST. The open top bus tour was overpriced and boring. The lady at hotel travel desk was friendly and helpful to us who were clueless and gave us very good advice. The staff at the pub and restaurant were just lovely. There was "some" dirt on the tiles behind the shower head but otherwise the room was spotless. We availed of the free shuttle bus to and from the beach which was excellent. The hotel provides a free beach pack with a towel and beach mat in a beach bag. The spa looked lovely I wish I had more to try it out. The "genie" at the door was just lovely. I would stay at this hotel again. Good value for money, close to the airport old part of Dubai but accessible to everywhere else too.

We had 1 night here on way home from UK to Australia. We booked thru Emirates and get a great deal for $150 we got the room for 2 people for 1 night, breakfast and transfers. This is a nice 4 star place. we arrived at about 7am and got checked in at about 9am, so please with that as check in is not till 2pm. Room was huge and very clean. But word of caution, check your mini bar on arrival to make sure you are not charged for items previous guest may have used. Hotel tried to charge us for several items we had not touched the mini bar. The hotel pub is great and after a VERY hot day walking around Dubai (not recommended as really it is too hot for walking!), we retired to the bar for several cold beers. We ate out nearby in indian cafe - fabulous curries! Try a trip along the river on one of the local boats - refreshing to get a coolish breeze.

LOvely hotel situated in old Dubai. Not far from airport. I was travelling alone and mid Ramadan so the area was brilliantly non touristy. The hotel itself is a little jaded but great decor. The staff are very friendly especially the 'genie' at the door! Lovely man. Rooms are fine - not too big but tastefully decorated. You may be sharing a locked inner door with your neighbour so be mindful of any excess noise especially at night if your checking in late or up early for some rumpy pumpy!!! I was on the 7th floor overlooking the main road. Dubai Mosque and museum just across the way. Be aware of Mosque callings regularly during the day starting as early as 0430 and carrying on till 2200 - could be annoying with young kids trying to sleep. I loved it personally. No balconies in rooms and windows are locked which is a pity as would be some great photos opps. Bathrooms are small but adequate. Supermarket next door. You are near the Dubai Creek - grab an Abra(boat) and cross over to the various Souks. If your travelling alone prepare for usual seller harassment unfortunately. People very friendly. Feel free to ask for directions/help. Breakfast grub was good. Lots to choose from. Pool area was lovely - they pull the shade covers over during July/August so pool remains cool. There is another area for sunbathers away from pool but lacks shade. Towels are given to you by pool rep. Some great little eateries nearby(plus a Baskin and Robbins icecream shop around the corner...). Great little spot. Went during Ramadan.

Room Tip: not sure - part of a work trip. stayed on 7th floor.

I stayed in this hotel after walking past on a previous trip to Dubai and being amazed by the wonderful lighting on the outside of the building, which is really beautiful. If you're staying in "old" Dubai, the location is also excellent. However, once you get inside, things are not so great. It's not terrible, just a bit shabby and oddly decorated.

Three minor issues bugged me - uncomfortable beds, the food at the breakfast buffet was really awful (everything came out of a can and most of it was stale or dried out, including really basic things like the cereal and bread). Also they charge you a very high extra fee to use the hotel facilities, including the pool and sauna. I've never been charged extra to use the hotel pool before (and the pool itself was tiny). However, we did get free internet which is always nice. And the staff in reception were very genuine and friendly.

Overall, this hotel is suitable for business travellers on a budget; but for tourists...there are many better options out there.
