Stayed here for 2 nights at the start and end of a cruise. Ideally situated between airport and port rashid so very convenient, and taxis very reasonable. Easy to walk to museum, souks and creek area, and could travel to other main sights and malls by taxi or by metro. Metro station is about 10 mins. walk from hotel. Very clean, breakfast good and staff very helpful.

the hotel is in the middle of what i would call little india. my housebund is from afg and said it looked alot like afg.
there is a lot of cheep dining places in the area, and really close to metro and souqs. Just a perfect place in dubai, i will defently be back when i find the money for it!

they have an exellent service, and when we went home we used their free airport service.

i have nothing bad to say!

One of the older hotels in Dubai but overall it is well looked after with some decent dining options and good value for money.

I was very familiar with the hotel restaurants and bar having lived nearby for some years before moving away from Dubai but this was my first stay.

Check-in was quick and efficient and the room on the top floor was well furnished, clean and quiet (being at the back of the hotel probably helped avoid road noise).

Decided to try the hotel pool but was very disappointed. Very old, small and didn't look very clean so gave that a miss. To be honest the hotel would be better retiring the pool as it really was the worst feature of the hotel in my opinion. If they really want to keep it then some money urgently needs spending.

The location of the hotel opposite Dubai Museum and within very easy walking distance of the souks and the Creek really is one of its best features. An early evening stroll down to the Creek was very pleasant and atmostpheric. Something not on offer at most of the swankier hotels in newer parts of Dubai....

Had a pre-dinner drink in the hotel bar, aka the Sherlock Holmes pub. Not as tasteless as it sounds. Had dinner in the Indian restaurant. The food is fairly unremarkable by the live entertainment is something different.

Was impressed that the hotel offers free wifi throughout and that this is not limited to one device per room. Very unusually and welcome for a UAE hotel. I hope others follow suit.

Allow plenty of time for the valet to retrieve your car as it will undoubtably be parked a long way from the hotel. I waited about 20 minutes and only then saw that the valet ticket says that it is quicker to let the hotel drive you to where your car is parked. Might do that next time or otherwise call ahead.

Room Tip: high floors at the back are quietest

We wanted to stay somewhere more authentic not just in a hotel that could have been in Melbourne. The Arabian Courtyard was very comfortable, the staff most welcoming and helpful and the location excellent! The old town museum is amazing and directly opposite. The hop on hop off bus stop is also just across the road and it is an easy walk to the silk souk and the doha ferry stop which will take you across the river to the gold souk or for a tour along the river. We highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

If you want a hotel with character in Dubai then the Arabian courtyard and Spa is perfect. It feels eastern butwith modern comforts and the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and they wil go out of their way to help. We booked an executive room which didn't cost a lot more but came with breakfast, coffee, soft drinks and cakes all day and three branded alcoholic drinks each evening with canapes. These were all served in the Executive lounge which never got busy and was a lovely place to relax. Ask for a highfloor room overlooking the museum and you should also get a view of the creek.
The hotel is in the Silk Souk which actually means loads of material shops selling every type of material you can think of and will also make clothes for you.
Dubai creek was a short walk away through tiny alleys selling all sorts of goods. They do try to sell you things but arenot as pushy as Egypt or Tunisia.
On the other side of the creek is the gold and spice souk and you can get across on an Arabic boat called an Abra which costs 20p.All in all a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the museum.
