We did a Morning Dune Drive with this company, and it was a complete success! They picked us up from our hotel promptly, and everything went as planned. The visit to the camel farm was interesting, but the dune drive itself was a complete blast! Our driver was in control yet had some audacity and skills. I actually thought it wasn't going to be as intense as it was. If you go this route, don't eat breakfast! Also a great way to see the land as it is in its natural state. You won't regret the Morning Dune Drive!

We booked a day tour to Abu Dhabi with this company, the worst ever tour. The Grand Mosque was to be the highlight, we were given full traditional long hijabs to wear, and respectfully I wore it, under strict instructions from the tour guide, that once we were finished inside the mosque we were not to give them back to the guards, but tell them we were with a bus tour and we were to give it back to him. We looked over the Mosque and finished after 15mins, I then went to exit the area with my Husband and was told by the guards that I could not leave,(among with 5 other women) we told the guards that we were with a bus tour and told them we were to return to the guide, we waited and waited, and many times tried to leave, they wanted to see "what tour guide" who was no where to be found. After being disallowed to leave after 40 mins, my Husband had to walk about a quarter of mile to the parked bus, and found tour guide talking to the bus driver. He explained to the tour guide, what happened who disbelieved him, after insisting he return to the Mosque to sort it out the tour guide eventually followed him back. He spoke to the guards and then hustled us through saying we had to hurry up and get back to the bus. No apology, then after a time we were taken to a souk to lunch at one of their preferred restaurants, (obviously used frequently) it was the worst lunch, food not fresh, though the real problem was we ordered drinks, after 30 mins, with the drink in site,at the cash register and despite 4 requests to staff to have it brought to the table I got up myself and brought it over, they had sufficient staff, we tried to pay the bill, we asked many times they all became confused and would not take our payment, as they were working out 10 per cent discount! On return to the bus the driver brought this to the attention of the guide, who came nowhere near us again, and no comment made. The tour content was long and uninteresting and apart from the Grand Mosque there was nothing but long stops, delayed by other passengers who flauted the warning that should they be back to the bus on scheduled time. One man was 15 mins late! If when booking clients are asked to be on time, the same rule should be enforced to errant passengers as at the end of the tour, our 8 hr tour became 11hrs because drop off to hotels became delayed. I accept traffic can be bad, but the actual drop off time was delayed because the guide did not enforce this rule. Worst ever experience after 9 weeks of travel overseas.

This was one of our highlights from our recent Dubai trip. We did the Sundowner Desert tour with Arabian Adventures. It was a fun way to enjoy the desert scenery, but note it is not for those that experience car sickness as it is more like a roller coaster ride! The meal and setting of the desert bbq dinner was also very good, dont expect an intimate experience as this is a very popular tour. All round it was very good value for money and fun experience.

I have traveled to Dubai perhaps 10 times for business and seen a lot. The best of it was the Desert tour with Arabian Adventures. Our driver was friendly and funny. You cannot travel to Dubai and not do that tour with them. Even if you're here for business you can do that as it only starts in the afternoon. They pick you up at the hotel and drop you there off again. Try to get the front seat!

City of Merchants Tour provided by Arabian Adventures should have been a great experience however, our guide was terrible and not interested in us as a group. As soon as we were underway, he (can't remember his name) told he was Turkish and a Muslim. He spent at least 1/2 hour telling us how good Islam is and how they respect and love their women and that they don't want other men looking at them, that is why they wear the hajib. He went on and on about how great Islam is. After we had seen a few sights from the bus (no stopping for photographs) we went to the old town of Dubai. He sent us off in the general direction and then proceeded to use his phones - he had two of them and was on them constantly. He gave us no information whatsoever but we did see other tours (from the same company) and their guides were with them and pointing out various things. Older people on the tour were not offered an alternative to crossing the creek on an abra or to cross the road other than using the very steep stairs of the underpass. I heard from another group that these alternatives were offered on their tour. We visited the spice souk and had some tastings then the guide took off at a very fast pace to lead us to the gold souk. Our group became separated - most struggled to find their way to the particular store we were meant to be at but one family got lost and had to go back to the spice souk and ask them to ring the guide to come back for them. Once on the bus to go back to the hotel the guide asked the driver to stop on the roadway and asked people staying at a particular hotel to get off the bus and follow him. They were led across the road then he pointed and said "your hotel is that way, I live near here and am going home now". The group had to walk the rest of the way to their hotel - late at night, in a foreign country - not on! Overall the guide came across as not interested in the group and was talking on his phones constantly. He was arrogant and totally spoilt our experience.
