“Great food, fun atmosphere, excellent service”
Reviewed February 28, 2014

This is a very good restaurant. The decor is tasteful, the atmosphere is bubbly and the food is terrific, especially if you like tapas. They also have a good wine selection that is not overpriced (after dinner we went to Busola for a drink and the same wine we had at dinner was AED330 more expensive in there!). We had the Ham Croquetas which was a very generous portion, the chili and garlic prawns which were very tasty and the most wonderful seabass ceviche which was delicate but had a hint of wasabi that gave it a delightful kick. The mains were also good especially the Wild Seabass which was a thick fillet but cooked well and has lovely flavours. The sea bream wasn't quite as good and the sauce was a bit sweet for our taste. The couple next to us ordered the lamb chops which looked great. We were both full but I couldn't resist the chocolate desert and I was glad a gave it a try as it was great which lots of dark flavours. Service was attentive and well informed. There is a voucher in the Entertainer Fine DIning which keeps the cost down too. We will go back.

“Lovely, but a bit rich”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

The service and staff were good, and friendly, but not overbearing as they are in so many Dubai restaurants. We sat outside on the verandah, and it was nice - not particularly elegant, and no view per se.

They explained that the food was to share and my wife and I shared two starters and two mains between us. We had the beef cheek and the sea bream, and both were very good. We had the sweet red peppers on the side, and these were excellent. Our starters were tasty, but too rich with lots of cream and oil. The quantity served was perfect, as we had a little left over.

With all the special restaurants in Dubai, I won't be in a hurry to go back, but it was a really nice evening out.

“The food was partly not edible...”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

nice, although when we complained about the food quality in the end, he didn't say anything and then asked what we would like for desserts which was a bit funny. No apologies given to us.

We sat outside, and the wall is so high that there is no view. The music was some mix of techno. We asked for a change to a more calm music, it was not possible as they had a playlist.

Our Aubergine starter had a too greasy crema on top and too sweet honey. Nice texture but total taste was too sweet. Our main courses went pretty badly wrong. The Beef Cheek was absolutely too fatty. Neither of us could eat it. The shitakes were too soft and the tomato sauce was very sharp. So this portion, although very small and we were hungry, we could not finish. The lamb was an inch better, although too sweet and the amount of meet was very small.

The wine is cheap! 35AED per glass is really good price for Dubai. The starter was 55 AED and main courses around 150AED (30EUR).

Would I recommend?
Unfortunately not and will not return for other than a drink perhaps. E.g. Hilton (in Marina, 10 min drive from Westin) Pachanga is a casual latino restaurant, about same price but much better food. Or in Westin the Spice Emporium (Asian) is good and not badly price.

“Average ”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

Came for tapas and a few drinks. The service was good. All staff were pleasant and polite.

Menu arrived and the blood drained from my face with the prices. Its tapas! Not fine dining!
Iv lived in dubai for 3 years and iv never felt so ripped off in my life! Some very average table wine on the menu for nearly 500aed also.

There are far superior spanish establishments in dubai with far better value.
Wont be back I'm afraid.

“Confused atmosphere between lounge, dinner and club.”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

Went there for dinner, food was average. Place was a bit of mix, hardcore lounge or formal restaurant? Did not enjoy the atmosphere.
