At Bab-al-Shams it is difficult to imagine that one is in the middle of desert. Lush greenery and surrounded by palm trees this oasis spa offers relaxed luxury. It is an ocean of tranquility during day time and a hub of excitement as the evening turns into night. Dinning under the stars with the shimmering sand stretching as far as one can see at night, the experience is awesome. Rooms are pleasantly designed with all the amenities and comfort. Service is courteous and the staff ever smiling. Laze around the huge swimming area enjoying the chilled drinks or simply sun-bathe with not a care in the world.

We live in Dubai and travel out to Bab Al Shams with visitors, to see the Arabian show at Al Hadeerah restaurant. Many times we wished we could stay and enjoy the resort...this we finally did!
And it was so worth it...the grounds are beautiful, pools spacious. The resort is built around an " Arabian fort theme". The rooms are beautiful, huge king size bed, majilis seating, and big bathroom. The bath tub is massive.Every staff member we interacted with was courteous and professional. Sitting in the roof top lounge watching the sun set over the desert is very special.
Our guests loved the camel ride in the desert.

we just got back from Bab Al Shams where we stayed for 2 nights. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the second day of our stay as it ...rained!!! Still, great place for families, great value for money too (we paid about £150 per night including breakfast). Apart from the receptionist who wasn't the most friendly on arrival and didn't really explain anything about the resort or what was available to us, everybody else was absolutely lovely and super friendly, in particular the Syrian guy who escorted us to our room and the maitre at the restaurant.
The Al Hadeera, the Arabian night, is a must do! Quite expensive, but definitely worth it. Just make sure you don't eat all day to make room for all the wonderful food on offer!
Really worth one or two nights stay if you are visiting Dubai.
no wi-fi in the room, but who cares! you can access it from anywhere else in the resort and it's free.

It worths while to spend at lest one night in Bab Al Shams and enjoy the spectacular landascape of the desert and the stunning scenario of the resort. There are amazing swimming pool and in the desert you can enjoy a typical arab dinner!

The accomodation is ok not more. The service is friendly. However there is absolutely no "desert feeling". You always see some electric lines or lights from some horse race facilities or paved streets. We would never come back.

We had our wedding at Bab Al Shams about a year back, and was recently back here for our anniversary. This hotel never fails to amaze us. The food was amazing during our wedding last year even though it was mass catered. Really good. The rooms were dark-ish, but we loved it. There's lots of lovely nooks and corners to take nice pictures too. Enjoying the desert sunset with the camels were awesome.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

Just a joke. Worse value for money in a very long time. Nothing special to say about it, it just depends on how much money you are paying for it. It is worth 250$ max. If you are asked for more, don't go !!
