Second time at this hotel, and I must say it was fabulous once again. We were upgrade to a suite upon check in. Lounge access at this hotel is a must. The room is impeccable, and the service outstanding. This is one of the best 5 star hotels I have ever experienced in the world. Do try the Indian restaurant, Indego- the food is amazing.

My Husband and I have just returned from a week at the Grosvenor House Hotel. We are well travelled and used to staying in nice hotels but this beat anywhere we have ever stayed.
The staff at the hotel including concierge couldn't do enough for us they were helpful, courteous and always smiling 24/7. When we went down for breakfast in a morning they addressed us by name!
We had a suite on the 21st floor which had fantastic views and also entitled us to free use of the Grosvenor Club Lounge on the 44th floor where we took afternoon tea and had free drinks including champagne and canapes every evening.
We had a spa treatment in the Retreat Health Spa which was excellent and made good use of the other spa facilities; sauna, steam and jacuzzi - total relaxation.
We ate in three of the hotels restaurants; Sloanes buffet restaurant which was excellent, Indego the Indian restaurant again excellent and Rhodes Mezzanine which was the nicest meal (and service) we have ever experienced.
We had drinks in the Buddha Bar and also Bar 44 both had good atmosphere and drinks prices were I would say average - a cocktail and beer was roughly £10.
We couldn't fault a thing about the hotel and have only wonderful things to say about it along with our fabulous memories.
When we return to Dubai we will only stay at Grosvenor House.

Wrote review before, but lost it!!!! ha ha ..... wonderful, superb hotel, service second to none, facilities and staff first class. Lots of building in area, but able to use sister hotel including their swimming pools and beach area - would recommend both for service etc face wash flannels for cooling, water, iced cubes etc as norm. Food and drink at both hotels great......try the steak bar at sister hotel, paid approx 140 pounds for meal and drinks there, but never tasted beef like it, and oysters (first time for me) to die for. If you want to feel pampered, spoiled and all the other niceties you could wish for go to the Grosenor. Didnt quite know what to do with the butler, perhaps we werent quite posh enough.

What a hotel!!! Fantastic. Rooms are awesome. We stayed in an apartment room. Hotel is super. Has the best lounge in town Buddha Bar in the hotel. Food was great. Pool is average but it is linked with Royal Meridien Beach Hotel and there is a free shuttle every 5 minutes. The hotel is located at Marina which is a good 25 minutes from the center of Dubai. But you dont need to go to center anymore. The food and entertainment options are fantastic and you can always go to the Mall of Emirates for shopping. Hotel is also not too far from Jumeirah and Madinat (which btw is a must if youre going to Dubai). I would never stay at any place else but Marina. Hotel is highly recommended.

Spent a week at the GH with my wife as a pre-Christmas sunshine break. It's a great time to go because it only gets up to about 30 degrees, however ladies should take a pash or a jacket cos it gets a little cool in the evening.
On the whole I can't fault the hotel, it's a slick operation, nice decor, rooms comfortable but not very spacious for the money. Having done the research on Tripadvisor, I expected the shadows over the pool deck and a certain amount of building site noise. The shadows are solved by decamping to the Meridian via shuttle bus (very quick and virtually on-demand). The Meridian has a great pool and garden area with masses of loungers and pretty good bar service. Frankly, don't waste your time with the GH pool; the building site next door is relentless. We went every day to the Meridian, and it's much quieter there.
Another tip; I paid and extra £400 for the week to upgrade to Club Ocean View. It was a 9th floor room with a balcony, but right up against the building site (an identical tower to the existing GH is going up, so that's the end of ocean views from the original building. The were pile-driving night and day so the balcony was unusable and it was noisy in the room even with all the drapes pulled. On the upside, its true that the Grosvenor Club on 44th floor free-pours champagne and serves masses of canapes. However, you need to be there by 6.15 (it opens at 6) otherwise you don't stand much chance of a seat once all the other freeloaders arrive! We did one night in there and then gave up trying!
Taxis are cheap and plentiful, however Dubai is so spread out it can take ages to get somewhere if it's off Jumeirah Beach.
On the shopping; we went to Mall of the Emirates (like Lakeside) and Bur Juman (hard to get to but very high standard). Trouble is, nothing worth buying appears to be any cheaper than UK. Designer labels seem to be fairly consistently priced world-wide and Dubai is no different. My wife reports there were some savings at Dune and Monsoon, those kind of stores if that is what you like.
Given the choice, next time I would definitely stay at the Meridian rather than the GH (it was full when we booked), however on balance I think we'll give Dubai a miss until it's a bit nearer completion. In our opinion, the best bits of Thailand are better value and much more interesting. Recommend the Royal Wing in Pattaya for ultimate comfort and service.

Would not recommend Grosvenor House hotel, found the staff very stuck up and unhelpful, also guests have to take shuttle bus to go to beach to a sister hotel thru thick traffic/
Hotel has no atmosphere.
Lacking in customer service.
There are other gorgeous hotels in Dubai ,I shall certainly not be staying at this hotel in future.

Stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions with family and once again recently alone on business. Very impressive service especially from reception staff and concierge . Whilst alot is said about the surrounding construction, a sister hotel is being built alongside I would still rate the location as superb especially once the building work is done. The hotel is luxurious, modern, warm and bedrooms although smaller than some of the other popular 5 star hotels I have stayed in Dubai, are excellently furnished and beds so comfortable and linen so fresh that you almost sink into it. The Sloanes restaurant on Mezzanine level offers a huge buffet breakfast with almost anything you can eat. On 2 occasions we had an all inclusive package and dinner at Sloanes was superb. On each occasion we had rooms of very high floors and views of the palm and Jumeirah beach expansive. Good location near popular Marina with its many resturants and apartments reaching for the sky. A bonus is complimentary usage of the Le Meridien Hotel beach and pool facilities across the road. The hotel spa is excellent and I include a spa treatment with each visit. The hotel is close enough to major malls and shopping areas of Madinat Jumeirah and just a short taxi ride away. However Shuttle services are available. The ladies cloakroom on the ground and mezzanine levels are a must to visit and seems more like a beauty parlour than a restroom.
Food is excellent and I have had opportunity to eat at the famous Bhudda bar and Indego restuarants as well as enjoy the somewhat small clubroom on the uppermost floor. With all the new 5 star hotels opening in Dubai, this hotel is still a favourite
