We are just back from another visit to the Dar Al Masyaf and cant wait to return again next year. Yet again the service that my family received from all members of staff from pool attendants, restaurant staff and in particular villa personnel was exceptional. Special mention to Waseem, Moses and Prianka who we have had the pleasure of meeting again. (These guys are a credit to the resort) The restraunt choice is probably the most difficult decision that we had to make as the quality and quantity is so great. Our favourites however include Al Hambra(Spanish) and the Indian restruant within the Zabeel Saray. Overall just a first class resort which i would find very difficult to beat!

We spent 10 days at Dar Al Masyaf at the end of August and we've been turned! We usually stay at the Jumeirah Beach hotel but this time were convinced to try this one and as we have been to Dubai a good 10 times at least, it could not hurt to try something else (we were disappointed by various other hotels before but it wasn't the case this time). The villas are a great size for a family of 4. There is a communal pool to be used by the villa occupants (roughly 8-10 rooms I believe) which has a lifeguard on duty all day. We hardly used it as the main pool of the Al Qasr hotel was huge anyway (the main pool is extremely busy on Fridays and Saturdays so a small dose of it is good enough and then retire to your villa pool). The other great thing is the fact that we have a butler on duty throughout the day until very late at night. The villa butler makes the restaurants reservations and orders the buggies or abras for the guests (amongst other things). Every evening there is an aperitif served by the butler between 6-8pm and it's to be able to have a chat with the various other guests of the villa. The only drawback is the buggies to and from Wild Wadi. Waiting for a buggy in the scorching heat is not much fun. The restaurants are all good and for breakfast we usually used the smaller Khaymat Al Bahar as the Al Qasr one was very large and too busy for our liking. All in all, we will be back next year and still enjoy the various facilities of the whole Jumeirah complex.

Set foot 2004, first to experienced the fantasy dreamland holiday in Madinat Jumeirah. But my favorite hotel around this fantasy resort is the Dar al Masyaf. With 29 Dar Al Masyaf villas surrounding the man-made lagoon which starts from the Mina A' Salam Hotel down to the Al Qasr Hotel through the Malakiya Villas you will be enchanted with the breathtaking experience of this resort. Designed with the traditional Arabian theme everyone will look back & experience the treasure of the past. In each Dar Al Masyaf there's 11 rooms which are perfectly situated either facing the Gulf or the Arabian gardens & 1 suite that completes 12 rooms & suite of a Dar Al Masyaf. Clusters 1-8 are all situated to the gulf facing view & each clusters have their own pool amenities. With own reception area & courtyard to laze out during the day & even the sundowner service. Each Dar Al Masyaf have 24/7 butlers on service, on-call buggy & abra service to transfer guests from the villa back to the hotels or around the resort. You won't ask for more because with an abra or buggy ride guests can visit their own souk, Madinat theater, or even the nearby property like Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Shop & dine with morethan 50 restaurants around & experience the best cuisines. With the most friendliest staffs from different countries in the world dressed in the Arabic themed uniform, reminds me of Aladdin, Princess Jasmine...a must to include in your bucket list.

Room Tip: Choose villas from 1-8 all with the gulf access.

This hotel was absolutely out of this world. On arrival we were stunned with the size of the place and how beautiful it was. The accommodation was fantastic and the staff could not be any more helpful. All the restaurants served delicious food and again with outstanding staff who could not do enough for you. A definite must stay hotel.

Room Tip: Go for one of the Villas they are exceptional with your own Butler

We stayed here on a stop over. The villas are amazing and as other reviews have suggested, it was depressing to leave. The service levels are excellent - nothing is too much trouble. The villas are large and immaculate. The fitness centre is well equipped. We took advantage of the free entry into Wild Wadi Waterpark, which was a fun way to while away a few hours of the 40 degree heat, but retreated to the less populated pool area at the resort later in the day. A great choice for a short stop over to recharge before another long haul flight. There are a lot of dining options, however, we went with the Spanish restaurant - not huge fans, unfortunately.

Just returned home after spending our 9th wedding anniversary at Dar Al Masyaf - the 6th anniversary we've celebrated there, so as you can imagine we rate the place quite highly! Yet again we had a wonderful time - this is simply the best hotel we've every stayed in (including Burj Al Arab and various hotels in places such as Bora Bora, Barbados, Bali etc.) and a huge part of this is down to the staff. When we arrived & got out of the car to the greeting 'welcome back to your second home' we knew we were in for another treat - little details like this make such a difference but are common place here. Huge thanks & appreciation to Krissy for her time & attention in making sure that every detail of our stay was just right, not least that we stayed in our favourite Villa 7. Thanks also to all the beach staff, especially Ramesh & Ujjwal for making sure we were well fed & watered on the beach, and also to Sudeth, our excellent butler who went out of his way to look after us superbly - you're a star. See you again next year!

I have wanted to stay here for some time as the waterways stimulate my maritime past. This year we had the chance to tag on four nights after a trip to Oman, and my Oh! my am I glad we did.

We stayed in an Arabian Summerhouse, the Gulf Summerhouses were not available. BUT our location was absolutely brilliant. The Butler(s) were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. The staff in the restaurants were attentive and welcoming. There is so much choice with respect to dining here. We were lucky to have complimentary half board, and there were ten restaurants to choose from, but if you wanted to have lunch and pay in the evening there were some very special opportunities for truly quality dining.

One advantage of the Summerhouses is the private pool. These are shared between Summerhouses. However, on two days we had the pool to ourselves. Ices served each day, lifeguards on duty (they change every thirty minutes so no need for a watch!!) and a pool Butler if you need food or drink. In the evening there is a two hour free drinks party which gives you the opportunity to meet other guests. Then to Dinner. We were in 1507 (my Birthday!!!) there is a boat station (8) next to Villa 15 - waiting time no longer than 5 minutes - to take you anywhere in the Hotel by Abra, a wooden boat unique to the UAE.

This was a fabulous trip, and we will be going back. This is now our preferred location in Dubai.

Room Tip: We stayed in 1507. The Abra station is thirty seconds away. If you need a buggy they pick you up out...
