“Room with a great view”

This hotel is in an ideal location.we had a lovely room with balcony facing the river, and in the distance , the tallest building in the world. The room was. Large, clean and comfortable and ideal for crossing the creek and visiting the market.the only thing we would have enjoyed would have been a swimming pool. Overall a good place to stay for a stopover.

Have another enjoyable stay on my return in June this year. I see they have done some renovation to keep the place looking fresh and updated. As usual all staff excellent and they remember your needs and always eager to assist. Their excellent breakfast continued to delight and I can see the Hotel has attracted a good mixture of nationalities from different parts of the World but seem to cater with the same dedication and care. Keep up the good work, I shall be back.

Room Tip: Front view overlooking the Creek is worth the extra if you have time to enjoy the happenings there.

Dubai and a very spread out city so when planning to stay in Dubai you need to decide exactly where you want to stay otherwise you will find yourself spending a lot of time using transport.

The hotel is not far from the airport across the road from Dubai Creek in Deira. The spice and gold souk areas were only a 10 minute walk away.

Our room was quite large with comfortable beds. We did not have a view but that is not a complaint, The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic with a lot of choices.

The hop on/hop off bus tour stops just across the road from the hotel and whilst expensive is very good value in getting around Dubai to get a good feel of the city.

We stayed 3 nights here and I am so glad we did.

We recently spent 3 days in Dubai ahead of a cruise at the end of May. We requested a room overlooking the creek and the view over to the city and the Burj Khalifa was a delight as was watching the floating restaurants each evening. The staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful. The room was well appointed and comfortable and the daily breakfast set us up for the day. We had pre-booked tickets on the Big Bus tour and were thrilled to find out that the stop was virtually outside the hotel door. The hotel is a short walk from the metro station. Train travel is cheap and fast.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the Dubai creek.

Once again I felt comfortable at the Riviera Hotel. The view from my room and balcony over the Dubai Creek was superb. The room furnishings may not have been the most modern, but the bed was remarkably comfortable, the air conditioning worked like a dream, the bathroom was spotless, the wifi worked well, and I had so much space. Breakfast was very good. As I recalled from my first stay, the staff were consistently helpful and efficient. I appreciated the early access I was given to my room after a long, overnight plane journey. If anything, I found the hotel's location even more convenient this time. I could walk to the interesting souqs of Deira and, with the Green Line of the Dubai metro having a station just a few minutes walk from the hotel's lobby, it's easy to reach places such as the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.

Room Tip: It would be sad to miss out on the creek view rooms!

This hotel is a little older; it's in "Old Dubai". The views from the balcony on the creek side are very good. You may have an issue with the food if you aren't fond of Asian or seafood. The staff were very friendly. A very short walk to both the Spice Souk and Gold Souk. There's a coffee shop located on the front porch of the hotel that's fun to use for people-watching. Beds were comfortable and the room was large.

Room Tip: Creekview rooms are quieter and have nice views.
