Description: QBARA WILL BE CLOSED OVER THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN (6 JUNE TO 5 JULY 2016) Qbara Dubai at WAFI is the brainchild of JAS Hospitality - a Dubai-based hospitality development and management studio - dedicated to bringing compelling food, immaculate service and glamorous design to Dubai and the region. Enhanced by vibrant entertainment elements, Qbara will be adding a stylish and exciting new highlight to Dubai's increasingly sophisticated dining scene. The menu features passionately composed dishes inspired by the great Levant, Middle Eastern and Moroccan cuisines with a focus on high-quality, fresh ingredients, the use of indigenous spices, contemporary cooking methods and careful presentation. The culinary vision is to set quintessentially authentic flavors into contemporary, modern context. Qbara's spectacular interiors have been conceived by award-winning Tokyo-based interior design Studio Glitt - Noriyoshi Muramatsu - who skillfully created a magical vernacular of traditional Middle Eastern cultural elements set in juxtaposition with a ultra-contemporary design philosophy. The venue's interiors lavishly spread over two floors with a focal stage bar and a cosy restaurant area forming the ground floor and luxuriously comfortable lounge seating areas on an elevated multi-level balcony above. The architectural centre piece is a two-storey tall vertical installation of carved timber panels that also serve as a projection surface for visual art displays. The ambience is distinctly high-energy, fashionable & sophisticated yet casual and fun. After all it's all in the Name.... 'Qbara' as such can mean 'large & generous' but spelt backwards could almost sound like 'Arabic' representing a departure from the traditional - not authenticity - and thus intrinsically an ancient word with a twist to encapsulate a wholly new and modern concept.

“Unreal cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2014

Kudos to the team and specially the guys in the kitchen and a special thanks to the chef , wow he dished out some awesome food .
The appetisers to start of with we're delicate and mouthwatering specially the prawns , for the main course I would recommend the lamb which was cooked to perfection and also the chicken .
The wine recommended to be paired with the wine was outstanding and so were the cocktails .
What do I say about the desert it looked like a blonde girls hair , we laughed a bit but after eating it realized the seriousness that went into making it and not to mention the love .
Kudos to the location which is marvellous

Thank you team

“Great addition to Dubai's lifestyle dining scene”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014

Qbara is the newest addition to Dubai's 'lifestyle dining' scene and really sets itself apart from the competition with a unique twist on Arabic (Qbara backwards) cuisine. Highlights included:

- Food - a sharing concept with a strong emphasis on seafoods and modern plays on traditional arabic dishes, recommend Milk n Honey dessert, do not recommend soft shell crab as taste disappears into batter
- Bar - great service, mixology, friendliness, well thought out wine and cocktail lists
- Service - needed to shout for attention twice, but generally very well educated, friendly and efficient staff
- Music - AMAZING, arabic lounge music? very cool electric violinist
- Venue - Stunning venue
- Location - a bit out of the way for most as it is in Wafi, however Dubai is a small place and the taxi home to Marina was AED 50
- Crowd - The wealthy, couples, business meetings, both locals and expats EVERYONE!

Overall - great place for a special treat as it is rather dear but I will definitely return

“Wowsers”

This is a really great new find. The place looks amazing and feels a bit like the sort of restaurant David Lynch might open. The duck fat chips are the nicest chips in the universe and the toilets have to be seen to be believed. Now I want all my friends and family to visit Dubai again so I can take them here. This place is great.

“Good vibes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2014

This is a unique high end setting catering for people looking for in all in one outing (food, drinks, music, etc..). The setting is captivating with well managed music that evolves as the evening progresses. Food comes with middle eastern twist and drinks compare well to other good venues (as a matter of personal taste, I found the signature drink not worthy of a signature standing)

“Spectacular!!”

Definitely one of the finest restaurants in Dubai! If you are in Dubai, Qbara is not to be missed!

I Highly recommend the Sea Bass, and the lamb cutlets. And don't miss the Bedouin cocktail
