We popped along to the Farriers in advance of the recently held Katy Parry concert on the grounds of Maydan, expecting a family meal in advance of the concert. After ordering some time passed and we then realised, despite few people in the restaurant, that the food was not coming anytime soon - despite a 6:45 start for Ms Perry!
After 3 complaints and a wait of 40 minutes some basic snacks arrived out as compensation but only after 55 minutes did the food arrive (with some rudimentary wine as a complimentary).
Basically this place is understaffed and the staff there have are badly trained - Maydan is mostly a ghost town apart from the occasional race meet or concert so when people do show they are unable to cope. TIP: Beware sitting on balcony overlooking racetrack as Mosquitoes will devour you due to the volumes of water being wasted keeping the track perennially green. Avoid and eat elsewhere!!
