JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai

I stayed in JW Marriott Marquis for three nights for congress. 70 floors with a nice view from tall and wide windows, spacious room and bathroom, quiet rooms, very clean and organized , the staff was very helpful, delicious and various breakfast. It is near Dubai mall and we easily took a taxi there. It is far from city center but accessible by metro. The only drawback was the wireless internet which was not free in the room and even the congress room and it was free only in the lobby. overally it was a good hotel specially for buisiness trips.

The Marquis is stylishly contemporary and luxurious without being too froufrou. Though I'm not a big fan of the Superman revolving doors, I do understand its functionality and aesthetic appeal. Oh and speaking of aesthetic appeal, they've got a ridiculously good-looking multicultural team. Seriously.

Executive suite: 2 bathrooms, a living area, walk-in closet, and a super sweet bed with zero motion transfer. As another reviewer had pointed out, the a/c wall panel emits an annoyingly high-pitched sound. I grew to ignore it, but I suppose it could drive a person nuts.
The lounge on the 37th floor is the perfect spot to grab some grub, catch up on reading, or even zone out by the window.

We had breakfast every morning at Kitchen 6. They’ve got a great selection of international fare, and the staff were attentive and super friendly. Uzair was especially sweet, he made sure my Mom had her eggs before we left.

Now the food at Prime 68 was delicious, and the service was great, but I can't help feeling my steak looked a little lonely on that plate. I thought it could do with a hug from a couple of new potatoes or something.

The hotel has opened less than a month ago and the drivers have sometimes an issue finding where the entrance is

Check in was painfully slow (which feel even longer when you arrive shortly after midnight)

Room/bathroom are specious, had some issues with turning off the lights until I realized that all is done with the room remote. Breakfast and buffet lunch which I had were great!

I have just returned after staying in the Marquis with 2 rugby teams playing in the Dubai Sevens last week. Considering they had only been open 16 days when we arrived it was simply awesome to be as organised, friendly and as willing to help as the entire staff were. The rooms are great, the gym is fabulous and the swimming pool quite superb.

We have already booked a return next January when we are hiring the very impressive ballroom for a large function. Superb food, even by Dubai's high standards.

ps The beds are to die for, just the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

Room Tip: They are all great!

Stayed a night at this property. Well designed structure claims to be the tallest hotel building in the world. Great location, wonderful views. Spacious lobby. Efficient check-in. Impressed by the casual attire of the check-in staff...no stuffy ties..
The hotel is not yet fully open. I beleive only half the rooms are operational. Only 2 of the 6 restaurants are open. There seem to be the usual teething problems associated with any new property, they should gradually iron themselves out. The property and rooms are well designed, spacious and amenities are excellent.
Velocity bar is a great place. Staff are friendly and the ambience is vibrant though there were very few guests at the bar. Had breakfast at the La Farine... not very impressed. Staff appeared to be overwhelmed with the few guests at the restauant. Again fell this will sort itself out once the hotel is fully operational.
