“Nice evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

We spent a lovely evening there with the family. The visit of the diving village and desert heritage was worth doing it. We end up in a restaurant directly on the creek with a pretty good oriental food. Kids did have fun going around. It's only open during the evening/night which is perfect to enjoy some fresh air. Shall be done when in Dubai Old Town, it 's start around 8.00 PM.

“Unfinished sympathy - avoid”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

After reading previous reviews we wanted to be sure of opening times (especially as it is Ramadam). I checked in Timeout Dubai which clearly stated it would be open 15:00 - 22:00 on Friday. We arrived at 19:00 to find a deserted ramshackle collection of huts resembling a run down budget movie set. The gallery, historic display and exhibitions were all closed. The handful of kiosks that were open sold the usual tourist tat of mugs and fridge magnets. The general feeling was that of a refugee camp. A pity...

A great place to visit, beautiful history, ideal for small shopping from a souk and reviewing the true history of Dubai. Lovely restaurants overlooking Bur Dubai

“Ghost town”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

We visited the Heritage Village during opening hours (had to check them again just to make sure). It was a ghost town. Nothing was open and nobody was out. The place looked run down, too. Just a few sheds that were closed, souvenir shops and that's it.

Although it's situated in the quiet part of Bur Dubai, a big road is running behind the walls of the Heritage Village which doesn't add to the "charm" of this place.
