“Good place to buy souvenirs”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

We came hear in the morning and it was very quiet. There wasn't that much to see or do. However there were a few cheap souvenir shops with a very good range. The heritage village is also close to other points of interest so it is worth visiting while in the area.

“Interesting cultural attraction and enjoyable stage show”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Visited the Heritage Village a couple of times in the evening during the days leading up to the Eid celebrations. Village is interesting with local crafts, birds of prey and camel to see. There are a number of small shops in the village and local food stalls. The entertainment on the stage started at 8 pm and consisted of folk dances followed by some audience participation and games for adults and children (most of the speaking was in Arabic but the format could easily be followed and non Arabic speakers could easily follow and join in). Also worth visiting the nearby Fishing Village and the Maktoum House. Nice that most of these attractions open reasonably late into the evening. Lots of nearby restaurants and nice to catch an abra water taxi over to the souks in Deira. My favourite part of Dubai at night.

“Felt a little dissappointed”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

My mom had told me how great the village was but I really wasn't blown away. Again it was lunch-time so I don;t know if everyone was away. No one on the "working" part of the village was actually working and some of the shops were closed.

I did see some interesting hand-made crafts and some of the shop keepers are really nice but overall I found this disappointing.

Still, it doesn't cost much to go in so give it a try - you may have better luck.

“Not Recommended for Tourist on Short Visit”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Nothing especial. Found the place very boring. Needs more upgrade and more attraction. Very few shops and very few visitors.

“every thing your guest will love about Dubai”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

ITs a must visit for all tourists.
They will love the experience, the food, the shopping, the antiques, the cultural experiences and last but not the least the Arabian Guld hitting the walls of the village!
