Owner description: Drive along Dubai Creek, the lifeline and pulse of the city, which separates the city from Deira to the north and Bur Dubai to the south.

The creek is in between Bur Dubai and Deira and one has to take the local ferries to cross over to the other side which are rather frequent. One also has the option of taking more luxurious and fancy options for a boat ride in the night which is rather nice and quiet. One can take walks along and it's very cool and beautiful in the evenings or one can just cross over to deira and get a flavour of the old world charm. That's also the way to the old Gold souk.
There are nice small parks around where one can often find guys playing soccer and can join in.

Abra rides across the creek are not to be missed (and this is the easiest way to get to the spice souk and gold souk beyond)

It was just few minutes, but you could have a quick glance of the interesting buildings along side of the creek. And it was a cheap and quick way to travel between the spice market and the Dubai Museum.

We visited it 12 years ago and were now disappointed: the whole shore is build and the creek is touristically exploited. It has lost its charm and originality

Very pleasant walk to take along, even better take a boat and enjoy nice views.. A must if you'd like to get a glimpse at the 'Old Dubai'..
