We had an evening meal at the Burj Al Arab, it is pricey for what you get but you do get to visit the 7 star hotel in style and made to feel like you are some kind of celebrity.
The food choices were great, A whole array of foods from different parts of the worlds. Different flavours and choices. There was a chef on hand aswell if you wanted your meat to be more well done or wanted something a little different.
Was a nice evening out.

Thank John P

We booked the afternoon tea in the skyview lounge a few weeks before arriving in Dubai. It was easy to do. We got a taxi from our hotel, showed the reservation at security and from then on it was superb. We were treated like royalty. The foyer has an aquarium on either side and there are various fountains etc and of course very opulent decor throughout. There are also several very high class shops. We were shown to a lift and then taken to our table ( we had requested a window seat if possible) and we had a marvellous view over the Arabian sea, as well as the city skyline with the Burj Khalifa dominating. We had a huge sofa with cushions and also two chairs. There were three of us. First of all we were offered a glass of champagne or either a bellini or a kir royale. A plate of stuffed dates was brought - absolutely delicious. Then tiers of sandwiches were brought in. We got the same amount as for four people so rather more than if we had been a couple. The sandwiches were served on different kinds of bread and included curried egg, cream cheese and cucumber, salmon and caviar, chicken, beef and possibly another I can't remember. Then came a small plate with a slice of beef with mashed potato. This was the only thing I would have done without. It seemed a little strange to have with afternoon tea but that's just my take on it. The others in our party loved it. Then came the cakes ! There were two different scones both warm served with little dishes of clotted cream, apricot jam, strawberry jam and date jam, all delicious. You would get two each but we had 8 between three of us. There were various cream cakes, beautifully decorated and it is a huge disappointment to me that we could not manage to eat them all. We then had a sorbet. Throughout we chose from a large menu of different teas and coffees, all unlimited. The service was as professional as you would expect but friendly too. We could not fault the experience and would thoroughly recommend it. Book in advance, I'm sure you will not be disappointed. On leaving the hotel we asked one of the doormen to get us a taxi. It was nice to have a taste of luxury for once.

As picturesque as I imagined. Must see in night with all its lights. Getting into eat is very difficult and expensive :(

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this place, amazing restaurant and views! Was pricey but then what do you expect for a 7* Restaurant! My hubby surprised me for my birthday in December and we still tell everyone how amazing it was, was such an amazing day and staff were so friendly and willing to help quickly with anything we needed!
