Number one.... The concierge staff here is unparalled. Tudor and Oscor and Royston... are fitting in this Landmark with the most wonderful aquariums and views of the inside.. but the views from the top.. yes you can see the palm and the world. Unless you are in a sandstorm... go for lunch in the day time. make reservations ahead and bring your paperwork or you will get stuck at the gate!

It's placed near the seaside and you can see the highest level of modern architecture. This place should be also on your list with places to be visited in Dubai.

“Quintessential Dubai”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

Probably the second most familiar sight of Dubai, Burj al Arab, is the pride of Dubai, and a landmark of Arabian tourism.Shaped as an abra boat, it stands alone in the water, some 300m offshore, that grants exclusive access only to the residents, or those with reservations for the restaurants on Burj al Arab grounds. They offer high tea and cocktail reservations.
It si a beautiful sight in the night, when it gets all the colored lighting. It is poplar spot with Russian oligarchs and their wives, or mistresses..no matter which there are tons of Russians..
It is claimed to be a seven star hotel, but it is is 5 star indeed, so much for stretching the truth. The price however, suggests otherwise.

“Out of this world”
Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

A building to rival the best in modern architecture, with vision and style and presence. It reminds me of the Sydney Opera House in its curvaceous and sensual sense of beauty, and in the way that it has changed the local social landscape and become an image of the city.

Tough to gain entrance to the hotel and grounds without a reservation, which they will check on a list at the gate. We enjoyed the most amazing cocktails in the late evening, and ordered a full dinner as well. The trick is that while reservations for high tea or dinner might be hard to procure, the right hotel concierge can get you a spot for cocktails at the bar. As long as you order from the kitchen before midnight, there is a marvelous tapas selection available.
