the space is dark and enticing; red (as you do) chinese lanterns and a modern interior that is comfortable. the bar is especially cool.

had the lobster on noodle with ginger & spring onion. i can have this every day! they suggested a rose to accompany the meal - worked very well. a fine menu and fine wines available.

Anthony Crema the bar manager and Nelson his side kick made me 'feel right at home'. great people in a fine dining establishment.

The decor and atmosphere in Royal China is excellent. Menu is varied and covers some of the core favourites which you would expect to see in a Chinese restaurant.

Dim sum was the best part of the meal for us. Selection was decent but quality was excellent.

Worth a visit.

Have been to Royal China in London and Singapore, so sort of know what to expect. The service is polite, unlike in the other two countries. The decor is good and very very Chinese. We had a set lunch so the service was quick. The food is upto standard but not particularly memorable. We had the Peking Duck, which was fried, that is unusual, coz normally expect it to be grilled slowly. However, it got the job done. We had salt and peper calamari and shredded beef, both were as good as I remember them to be.

There was confusion about the reservation, they thought that we did not show up and had called about it after we came back from the lunch.

Beautiful discovery that Chinese restaurant located in the business district (DIFC). The welcome is friendly, courteous and attentive. And frame beautifully decorated with little kitsch.
The choice on the menu is large enough (even a special menu for Dim Sum). Otherwise, choice of soups, fish, chicken, duck and beef prepared in different ways.
I chose this day "Barbecued Chicken Buns" (plate I wanted to try because never eaten) and "Lemon Chicken".

Being alone, I decided to take-away rather than be alone in this restaurant.
In the end, excellent barbecued chicken 3 are presented with a soja sauce apart and another spicy pungent strong. The chickens were mixed with a brown sauce to the Chinese way in a kind of bread buns forms. Interesting and very good. As for "Lemon Chicken", tend to desire presented with slices of mini lemons and above also lemon sauce that adds flavor and gives a succulent at all.

Finally glad I returned my eyes closed.

Price above the mean plus 10% tax for DIFC. But worth it considering the quality.
