I stay here quite frequently and it is a great unpretentious business hotel. The location on Sheik Zayed Road is terrific both the Dubai International Financial Centre, Media City and the proximity to the Emirates and Creek golf courses. Longs Bar in the basement is a bit of an institution and has goos beer and bar food while Teatro restaurant is consistent in great quality and service. My only issue is the inconsistent quality of the Internet service and the price for this. If it's not free it really bothers me. Otherwise - hats off to the staff and management team.

We stayed at this hotel after spending 7 nights of pure luxury in the Maldives, maybe it was this that meant we were expecting too much, but basic good service should really be part and parcel of every hotel, that's what they're there for surely??!!

We arrived at the hotel at 3.20pm, twenty minutes after check-in oens, to be told that no rooms were ready and that it would be another twenty minutes before one would be, we accepted this and sought out some food to pas the time. We returned to the reception over an hour later to be told that our room was still not ready as the supervisor had not checked it yet, but we were promised one of the newly refurbished rooms once it had been checked, we were told fice minutes. Fifteen minutes later, after sitting in the reception area, we had to go back to reception to chase the staff again, we were then given a room. The room we were given was not one of the newly refurbished rooms, instead just their regular old rooms, we did not cause a fuss as we were both tired and needed a shower.

When we returned to the room later in the evening to settle down for the evening we were disgusted to see that the sheets had a very large stain on them, so much for the supervisors inspections!! We phoned the reception who sent up housekeeping, no apology from reception. Now, here comes the good part, if everyone who worked in this hotel was as helpful and attentive as the housekeeping gentleman, this hotel would be 5 star for service, he couldn't do enough for us.

Then there's the bathroom, it looks like they skimped on paying someone to fit the bathroom, it was poorly put together, very dirty grouting, random holes in the sink housing, just very shabby and poorly fitted out.

I also forgot to mention the fact that our Mini-bar was empty on arrival, only to be asked on departure whether we'd had anything from the mini-bar, odd!!

Now for the service at breakfast. There is one guy who looks like he runs the restaurant for breakfast, but he doesn't seem to know what tables are available, or anything about breakfast, doesn't seem to be the right person to manage the restaurant somehow. Then the people that wait the tables at breakfast don't actually do anything you ask for, we asked for coffee several times and people just said they would get it and never came back, staff would interrupt you just starting to eat breakfast to sign the bill, can't this be done at the end??!!

Well, that's my rant, I actually slept really well, so there's no complaints about the beds.

But this is definitely a 3 star hotel with a 1 star service.

My new wife and I stayed here for 3 nights after spending 1 week at Kuramathi Island, Maldives. The Hotel is very clean, modern and well appointed. The receptoion staff were extremely helpful (especially when we lost our camera), and informative and the hotel laid on a free champagne and strawberry lunch for us in our room for our honeymoon.

Located on the main highway through Dubai, the Burj Khalifa is just a 10 minute drive away. Taxis are very cheap, 10 Dirhams (about £2) to Burj Khalifa, and are always waiting outside reception. Free buses also run to all the main shopping malls...TIP...If considering a trip to the top of the Burj Khalifa, make sure you buy tickets from the Mall Dubai the previous day, saving about 50%.

The bar in the basement is very good with all sports shown. Drinks are very expensive by UK standards (but average for Dubai), bar snacks are very reasonable (£2-£5). Breakfast was buffet style and very good with a choice of fresh fruits, curries, cereals, english, pastries and fresh egg station. Applebees diner just down the road serve amazing burgers and are very reasonably priced. There is a supermarket just a 5 Minute walk away and the pool area (part of a fitness centre) is decent without being amazing, but a good area for a sunbathe and a beer none the less. There are definately grander more elaborate hotels in Dubai but Towers Rotana, although feeling more suited for business travellers, is still a great choice for a city hotel. Hard to fault!!

this Hotel is centrally located in Dubai, has good number of rooms to suit every pocket, try to check online for the room rates as they vary a lot. Room are spacious and staff is well trained. Location is central and you can get ample taxis to go around. Good number of eating joints are nearby with a big shopping mall a kilometer away.

Overall a comfortable stay, value for your money.

In a country like Dubai, even their mediocre hotels are of a very high standard, and the Towers Rotana is no exeception to the rule. It is often confused with the Rayann which is very closeby and it's worth remembering that it is OPPOSITE the metro.

Food served in hotel restaurant is adequate, but nothing to write home about, as is the Breakfast buffet. Though my issue with the breakfast buffet is that they can let standards slip if it gets busy and mess things up like coffee and tea. The gym and pool are around the back, and require you to step outside and walk over.

If you can get a cheap rate for the Towers and work at DIFC, it is really good as the DIFC is 1 metro stop away OR is perfectly walkable (not in the summer). The Dubai Mall, and Mall of Emirates is a short metro ride away and the metro though requires a quick walk outside is about 2 minutes away from the entrance of the hotel. Service is great and service staff do go out of their way to be polite. I arrived REALLY early in the morning, and they were very accommodating by putting me in a double room before transferring me to a King room as I was travelling alone. Rooms are very big as is typical in Dubai.

Internet is a rip off, grab a DU or Etisalat card and use the 3G, though honestly be prepared to be ripped off either way because UAE is reknown to have the world highest Cellphone charges.

Room Tip: I got a corporate rate

I would say having stayed at both hotels, Towers is half-a-star behind Rose Rayhaan.
No real complain except the very average to low quality of room service food.
When on business trips, I rely on room serice while working. In most cases I was dismayed. Quality low, they have opted on the side of cost-savings. Club sandwich;poor, spaghetti bolounese; poor, breakfast sausages;almost uncooked, chicken schnitzel; fried to death, shoe-string salad;over-dressed with oil.
The only safe bet was greek salad and humus :)
All else was ok. The food really got on my nerve.

Room Tip: ask for the sea view

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights after spending 2 weeks in the Maldives for our honeymoon. The hotel is in a freest location for sight seeing.
As we were on our honeymoon the hotel upgraded us for free to a suite on the 16th floor. The room was amazing. Great views, very clean and a bottle of champaygne with strawberries and cream to welcome us.
The staff on concierge couldn't do enough for us. They arranged our helicopter trip which took the stress out of calling companies and always hailed taxis for us.

Taxis are very cheap out here so always use them. Don't do what we did and walk. It was too hot and quickly realised that no one walks anywhere in Dubai. The metro station was only a few steps from the hotel which was a great way to get around too. The station was very clean and quiet which is a contrast from using the metro in Paris or London!

We didn't use the restaurant or bar so cannot comment on this. The hotel is located on a busy stretch of road but you do not hear any of the traffic from your room. We eat in the nandos restaurant just down the road from the hotel and found it to be better than back home!

You can see the Burj Kalifa from the hotel which was an amazing sight when you see how tall it is. Only 10 mins away in a taxi

Overall I would recommend this hotel and any negative reviews are from people who obviously can never be pleased!!
