A friend and I enjoyed a holiday to Dubai in June of 2012 and it was recommended that we had an afternoon tea here. So, we booked a day in advance and were very pleased with the price as all reviews had pointed to a very enjoyable afternoon.
On arrival we were greeted by several members of staff who opened the car door for us, took us to our seats and ensured we had everything we needed. I couldn't fault the customer service at all, the manners were impeccable.
We ordered, and soon after the food and drinks were with us. The food was beautifully presented, and it all tasted as good as it looked. There was a lot of food for the price, 3 levels on the platter and they all were full to the rim.
After we had eaten all we could there was still some left, the waiter who was serving us was more than helpful and offered us a box and filled it with all we couldn't eat so we could bring it back with us.
The staff had no issues with us taking a walk around the hotel, and even didn't mind us taking a walk on the private beach!
All-in-all, this was a fantastic experience, and the hotel is absolutely stunning. Luxury doesn't cover it!

Went to this hotel end of June. This was our first time to Dubai. . Had an amazing holiday. the hotel is luxurious and the staff couldn't do enough for you and are very friendly. We stayed in the club rooms and they were also very luxurious, large bedroom and bathroom with separate shower. We had afternoon tea on a couple of days and also used the gold club lounge for pre dinner drinks. The restaurants were fabulous and we also used the restaurants in the Arabian court, residence and spa and zest on the palm. What an experience. Will definately be returning.

Hotel was luxurious as expected, but choice of food for lunch or snacks was limited and seriously over priced, slightly short on waiting staff as well. Celebrities restaurant was very good, really nice food. Indian restaurant served me up raw chicken twice and chef came out to apologise, shame because the rest of the food was really nice.

Stayed at One & Only for a weekend. Well established hotel. All is done with quality and thought for customers.
Standard 5-star hotel room with all required amenities. Check-in and check-out were fast and with no troubles at all.
My best part of hotel was a pool. LOVE it !!
Palm trees in the water give a shade to swim around, or just relax in the water. Little bays ( corners) of the pool made it extra romantic, as you can stay there away from other people. Its sooo cool. Pleasant water temperature, staff taking care of your every need; cold water in your glass, fresh towel if yours got soaked; a guy walks around and clean your sunglasses.
We had lunch at the pool bar: grilles zucchini brucheta and a chicken salad were delicious. Iced coffee and a Blue Pina Colada completed the F&B experience for the day.

The only negative comment is that local crows were trying to steal food from your pool table, or they would just fly around and make annoying noise. Management have to do something about those, before they harm anyone.

We had a really great weekend at this hotel.

Room Tip: I always ask for top floor for less noise and a better view

The hotel is luxurious and the rooms are large and decorated with taste. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The beach was very nice, clean and large. It was a nice touch to have the beach/pool staff bring you ice water and fruit throughout the day to your beach chair, especially with the crazy summer heat. Also, very few guests seemed to go to the beach, so it was never a problem to find a beach chair. All the restaurants were delicious and the service impeccable. The entire experience was enjoyable and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms that do not overlook the pool have more privacy.
