Have been at this hotel few times. Always exellent service and facility. Breakfasts are marvelous. If you like sprot, there is possiblity to swim and even make ice skating.
Good fitness with vaious possibility.
If you are looking for seminar or for confrence facility it is a good place. Moreover there are few restaurants and even a night club.
But as usual for this region is cold inside of the building, pool is shadow when back from work. And I was very surprised that there is manipulation with room rates.
F.ex. I have checked out at 22:00 but should pay for full night and breakfast!!!. Agree that it is unusual late check out, but breakfast in the bill.
So totally is good hotel but with a scent of asian business deal.
Just a word more: there is a rotation restaurant with exellent buffet on the upper flour. Recommend.

Room Tip: There are possible to have a view on water and on the roof pool.

Dear MirosB

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to single out a few highlights, including the recreation facilities.

Sorry for the confission regarding the billing of the last night (which was the late checkout). I am assuming the rate was simply a continuation of the same rate paid throughout your stay - which was a bed and breakfast rate booked through a travel agent and lower than the rate of the day on offer for that single night at the end.

If you would like to discuss this one further I would be more than happy to review accordingly.

Best regards!

We have just returned from the Hyatt, overall a great stay, this is our second visit, we didn't plan a hotel on this trip and were recommended a lower class hotel which we went to and looked at, it wasn't a patch on the hyatt, so we promptly left and went straight to the hyatt, room was great and all staff freindly, massage was amazing on the day we left but made me sleepy on the short flight to doha, room service was excellent and all staff in the hotel attentive, if you have a family though I would recommend the. Galleria residence, better value for families, the shopping center to the rear of the hotel has Carprnters bar with very good singers, but beware the nightclub we went into had a lot of girls of the night, but strictly they are not allowed into the hotel, which is a good thing, overall a great hotel

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be good but the higher floor the better for us

Dear Brian R,

Thank you for sharing your review - we particularly appreciate the kind words you use to describe our staff and the customer service provided throughout the hotel.

You will be pleased to learn that our spa is about to launch some amazing new massage treatments using the fabulous June Jacobs products - you will have to try these on your next visit!

You correctly mention The Galleria Apartments as being a great option for families and keep an eye on Hyatt.com for some exciting enhancements we are about to announce for families visiting Hyatt Regency Dubai and Galleria.

Best regards!

We have just returned from a 7 night stay .... The staff are incredibly polite and helpfull and I must say are up there with the best. Our room was wonderful and we had beautiful clean crisp white bed linen. Air conditioning was great. Breakfast was outstanding and the chefs would do anything to fufil your requests.
The biggest downfall for the hotel is the cost of drinks at the pool bar. Nearly £5 for a medium size bottle of water ( only filled 2 regular tumblers) and the same cost for a soft drink. This hotel is not going to be suitable if you have children and as the temperature is hot in Dubai you regularily need to drink fluids. I understand that hotels have to make money but considering you can buy a bottle of coca cola from the supermarket downstairs in the hotel for 2 dhs (40p) or a can of pop for 1.5dhs (30p) buying soft drinks by the pool is going to hit the holiday maker very hard in the pocket. We respected the hotel policy for not taking our own drinks bought on the hotel premises to the pool but i strongly believe that this lets the hotel down. There were very few holiday makers purchasing drinks by the pool the only peeople that we saw purchasing drinks were the local people who brought their children in to have swimming lessons or to leave their children in the pool whilst they went and played tennis this regularily happened. There were days when the children that were left were wild and spoilt the tranquility of the pool. I have children and my children would play but would NEVER disturb other people and splash them with water toys. This was our second visit to the hotel and to be honest it has definately changed with in the last year. The bedrooms are starting to look a little tatty around the edges. There have been alot of 5 star hotels built in Dubai and this hotel is definately starting to look more like a 3 star it really needs to have a refurbishment to keep the 5 star. The comments re: unable to sunbathe by the pool after 1pm is correct and this does spoil the holiday experience at this hotel. The sundeck's sunloungers are disgusting they are covered in bird poo. There was only 1 unbrella available and this was not working so it got extremely hot on the sundeck. There is only a shower that you can use to cool down. The telephone on the sundeck does not work so if you need anything from the pool bar you physically have to get dressed and walk around to the pool which is not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. We will be travelling back to Dubai very shortly and unfortunately we feel that there are other hotels offering far more for far less. The free wifi was a good help as we need email access whilst we are away from the office. It would not take much to bring this hotel back up to scratch.... normally it is the staff that let a hotel down but definately not on this occasion the staff are 5star but the hotel is 3star. The Big Hyatt Bosses need to either address these faults as taking a family to Dubai for the ordinary European traveller and staying at the Hyatt is out pricing itself. The hotel is encouraging people to break the rules and take their own drinks to the pool. We are very dissapointed to not consider staying at this hotel again but since coming back and looking on trip advisor there are better hotels on offer in Dubai for a cheaper price..... Hyatt is requesting 5 star money but offering 3 star quality..... :(

Room Tip: (purchase you goods from the supermarket... its very reasonable) do not let them put you in a room...

We traveled to Dubai with Friendly Planet tours. The hotel was very nice. We needed to take a taxi to get around outside of our excursions. However the taxis was equivalent to most other places we have traveled.
The room was very clean and very modern. We did not order room service but we did eat breakfast downstairs at the buffet. It was very good with many international options. The food was ethnic and delicious.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
We even hired a driver to take us to see many tourist sights. The driver was reasonable. It was about $30 US dollars per hour. We even went to Abu Dhabi.
We had a great time and enjoyed relaxing at the hotel.

Dear sydtayscott,

Thankyou for posting your review, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and have recommended our hotel.

I trust you enjoyed the day out to Abu Dhabi, and that you had an opportunity to visit the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Mosque, lot of visitors to Dubai do not realize that Abu Dhabi is only a two hour drive away.

Look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Spent a week here on business and was very pleased with the hotel. Had a room on the 10th floor (room 1004) which was very quiet and comfortable and far from the elevator. Room service was fast, housekeeping excellent. Hotel has a terrific (free) fitness center with many, many treadmills and elliptical trainers and free weights. A pool and a spa are on site, too, but I didn't use either. From a business standpoint, the room was great, with a separate desk for computer work with good lighting and reliable wi-fi and cable internet access. The hotel is close to a metro stop but not really in walking distance to much of anything. The executive lounge on the 18th floor is good, with breakfast options varying daily with egg and pancake options made to order. Evening service between 6 and 8 pm at this lounge is limited to canapes only. Also in the lounge are several PCs and printer access until 10 p.m. only, but there's an additional business center on the 1st floor with later access. There is a small market in an adjacent shopping center if you want to stock your refrigerator, and there is an ice-skating rink there as well if you need to entertain the kids. The hotel has a multitude of bars and restaurants to choose from, including a revolving restaurant on the 25th floor, but it's a buffet only and is quite expensive.
