“Wonderful stay at the Hilton...great location, staff, and facilities”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

I was visiting Dubai on business and thankfully this Hilton was on the list. What a great location they have, right on the beach, and right near many restaurants. The only negative is the construction that is going on next store that seems to run for 24 hours a day. However, when this became a problem for me, the staff was 100% supportive in my request to relocate my room, partially due to my status with Hilton and partially because they had a room available. These rooms are generally very quiet outside the construction noise. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. The bathrooms were very well appointed had spacious and having a deck was extremely nice. There are many restaurants on the street near the Hilton. The metro station is also a short (10 minute) walk away. Every staff member at the Hilton I met went out of their way to answer my questions and address my needs. I had breakfast in the executive lounge. The food was very fresh and the selection was very good. The beach chairs and towels were a welcome site to a business traveler.

This is still a highly rated hotel for good reasons. The hotel is well positioned with "the Walk" at the front of the building and it's own private beach at the back. Ok, there is building work to one side running for 24 hours a day but hey, this is Dubai so it will be finished before you know it and in reality there is noise across the whole of the city. I don't think you would go to Dubai for the peace and quiet. The "walk"is also open for business 24/7 but you should view this as a positive because it means that you can always see something different whenever you go. Watching the cars from your hotel room can also be a positive especially when every other car is a premium branded sports car. Even the local police drive a Bentley Continental! So, an interesting back drop for a hotel that will tick all the boxes. It is worth mentioning the quality of staff at the Hilton. Congratulations to the HR and Training teams, you have instilled a customer focus in all your front of house staff? They try to anticipate the customers needs and deliver! Very impressive. The restaurants are good, BICE is notable and award wining I think. Of course it is not going to be cheap to eat and drink in house, it is a five star hotel after all so please make an allowance. My only gripe would be the upwelling approach at check in. There was an offer to upgrade to the exec floor which when it was pitched was overly complicated and open to negotiation on price. Strange and a little confusing on arrival but it was an opportunity to try the haggling skill set. Would I go back, yes, without doubt.

Room Tip: Pool side or walk side would be best if you don't want to have the building site outside your wi...

We used this hotel for a weeks holiday. We were checked in promptly by a friendly & efficient member of staff. Our room was very clean. The furnishings were of a very good standard. Our room was cleaned daily. The staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for us. We ate breakfast on the first morning in the hotel. There was an excellent range of food and beverages available. Because there is so much choice on the JBR walk right outside the hotel we ate in different places each day. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 452, it's location was quiet.

i have just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel with my daughter and my wife which we enjoyed very much , the hotel is spotless clean and the staff are very nice and helpfull. we were on a b+b stay and dident eat in the hotel in the evening as there are so many good restaraunts close by on you door step. the breakfast is good and and there is something for everyone. the rooms are big and spacious and the air con is excellent , you can have it like siberia if you want. the bathroom is well equiped with towels and nice smellies. you get a large tv and a dvd player mini bar and all the usual stuff you would expect in a 4* hotel. the pool is small but its never crowded with a life gaurd there at all times, loungers are the best i have seen at a hotel. outside the hotel you have tim hortons coffee shop subway cinabon and many other popular shops all on your doorstep. the beach is only 500 yards from the front door which makes this hotel in a great position. however you should be aware that there is a lot of building work right outside the front, this may put some people of but didnt bother us one little bit. if i have one grouch it would be the porters at the front door who assume you want your bags taken for you, without asking grrrr!!!

Just returned from The Hilton We had 5 fantastic Nights here on Half board basis. What can I say..... It truly is a five star experience. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. Yoiu are treated like a superstar!. Be aware that at present renovation work is going on in the hotel grounds (Wavebreaker restaurant is currently closed) and they are building a new shopping mall right outside the hotel with building works going on throughout the night. So I would advise asking for a Walk view room or one on the opposite side to the Building work. All in all didnt really Marr the experience and would wholeheartedly recommend.
We ate in the Oceana restaurant for breakfast and Dinner. its Buffet style and the choice and quality of the food is Outstanding. One chef in particular made us feel very welcome and even prepared something we fancied even though it was not on the menu that night (Fernando).

Well done Hilton ALL your staff are a real credit to your hotel. We will be back!

Room Tip: Walk view whilst building works are in operation

Stayed here in May 2013. Great hotel, great staff! Good location as you are in "The Walk" area. So all the food places are nearby.

Hotel:
One of the best I have stayed in. Clean, tidy hotel. Don't listen at people saying this is not 5*. I found no issues whatsoever with anything at this hotel. The staff were more than happy to help with anything. Very pleasant and always smiling, especially the gentlemen at the lobby area. They helped me on many occasion in calling a taxi, opening the doors, helping with pushchairs and luggage (2 kids) etc. Breakfast was amazing; everything was fresh and always available. Chef that made the eggs was great!

Plenty of lifts and never any waiting around. The pool was clean, big and not too busy. Although you have to get there early to get a longer as inconsiderate people just come early and put their towels on even though they won't be there for a few hours! The staff should be aware of this and just remove the towels after a certain period so families especially with small children can make use of the empty loungers. Our room had a nice sea view (recommended) and the balcony area was nice and clean. Yes there was plenty of building work going on in the area but that's not the hotels fault. Others are also affected. It's also 24/7 - non stop building work. You can still hear the work with the doors closed which was a shame.

Location:
Good location. We found no issues with finding good food to eat nearby. We went to all the malls and the Burj by taxi, found no issues with this at all.

Days out:
We went to the Wild Wadi water park, which turned out to be one of the best days we were there! By the way, invest in the Dubai Entertainer book - you will save £100's. The Dubai mall is a good visit, absolutely massive. The under water aquarium is something you will not see everyday! Burj Al Khalifah was good but nothing amazing IMO. Yes it was high up, but it's not cheap and I would have rather done something else. The mall of emirates has some really nice places to eat. We also visited the market area, but found it to be really busy and just too much traffic.

All in all, great place, great hotel, lovely staff.

Room Tip: Ask to stay in a room which doesn't over look the construction work
