Had a brilliant stay overall and the staff were excellent,, ever helpful
Location is great for the city and getting to airport and beach.
Nice touch was a free shuttle to and from 2 beaches.
The hotel is on the flight path of the airport but to be fair noise was minimal in rooms due to double glazing and whilst sun bathing at the top of the hotel by the pool watching the planes take off and land wasnt that bad even though I am not a plane spotter.
Hotel very clean and comfortable.
The pool terrace and bar is lovelly and the loungers/seating is excellent.
Down side of the stay :
Bar prices , beer £8 per pint though I think its steep all over Dubai.
The hotel taxi is more than double the price of the state taxis, the staff mentioned it would be a few Dh more but more than double is too much.
we paid 25 Dh from airport to hotel in city taxi and 50 Dh to the airport using hotel taxi.
Also the hotel recommended a Desert Safari which charged 250Dh only to find out that other companies charge 125 Dh to 130 Dh for exactly the same service. All the companies met at the same place and did the same drive over the dunes, and ended up at the same entertainment village with camel ride. When I asked about the price difference we were told the insurance was better and the vehicle used was better both rubbish.
The final niggle was that the hotel was decorating all the corridors during our stay.
We were only staying for 6 nights for a holiday.
On the first morning after arriving at midnight the decorators started outside our room on the second floor at 8 am shouting to each other then scraping the old wall paper off.
I complained to the desk staff requesting another room only to be told they would be finished by the following day. No surprise they started again the next morning, there was far too much work to finish in one day .
Disappointed by the hotel attitude I understand work needs to done to up date premises and I commend this but some consideration to guests by moving them whilst their corridor was being worked on should have been considered.
But still recommend staying at this hotel.
ps fantastic Indian restaurant " The Note Book " approx 200 yards from hotel, turn left from hotel , walk to the end of road, cross over road then turn right. Restaurant 100 yds on left
