My husband and I stayed here for 5 night half board. We thought the service, food, & quality were exceptional. The resort is a little out the way however, the hotel has a daily bus service to and from the main places in the city centre. The beach location is ideal for relaxing with palm trees for shade. I would highly recommend the Seawings flight which we booked whilst staying at the hotel, a little expensive £180.00 pp but deffinatly worth it!!!!!!

We spent 3 days in Jebel Ali & 2 nights at Palm Tree Court. Over all the service in La Fontana & Captains Bar below 3* standard. The food came out 45 minutes. Manager & staffs need more trainings. Signature restaurant service very slow only 6 guests. Manager didn't follow-up our order no smile. After serve food he left no smile.

The golf club staff not friendly, indian guy fat very rude when my child play table tennis. We go fishing the marina very dirty the boat no clean bad smell. I talk the manager he said later clean the boat he is very rude.

The hotel very expensive but service in restaurant below standard like 3*. The food not so good compare to Rotana.

We stayed on the All Yours Full Board / Mostly Fully inclusive deal. The food and service in the resort is great. The views aren't the best because the Palm Jebel Ali is half built. Put simply, if you want a get away resort in Dubai with excellent food, great service, lots of facilities then I would totally recommend this

Who says junk email does not work? After dozens of emails inviting me to book a special half board offer at the hotel I relented. This is the sister hotel to Hatta Fort and the Palm Court (which is really just another part of the resort). They all seem to have been built around 30 years ago and by Dubai standards they are therefore mature or even old.

Jebel Ali claims to be the 3rd largest container port in the world so do not be surpised to see a lot of large cranes when you look out of the hotel room. A bit odd but not close enough to bother you and a surreal picture at night when they are lit up in warous colours. There is a little marina in between and some open water. Stanger still is that the horizon has been replaced with breakwaters, reclaimed land and concrete pillars. This the folly known as Jebel Ali Palm and one of the reasons that Nakheel and DP World are in trouble. Don't worry - no construction is going to happen here for a long while. The benefit is of course that the lovely beach is nicely sheltered.

Depsite all this the resort looks great and has lots of lawns, mature palms, pretty pools and gardens. It lacks the wow factor of the more glitsy hotels in Dubai proper but is relaxing. You easily spend the day under the palm treas on the lawn next to the bar and the beach.

The hotel istself has been newly refurbished. Like a lot of Dubai hotels it is billed as 5* and is more like 4*. Rooms are on the small side but modern in design with good fittings, stylish little bathrooms and great beds. Really only fit for 2 and the balconies are not big enough for 1 (atleast those attached to the standard sea view rooms). The lobby is dated despite the refurb and the bar on the top floor deserved to be closed the night I went to look. Again, not like the normal Dubai resort rooms but then the price here is lower.

Food was acceptable in the buffet restaurant. None of the skimping that often goes with half board packages. Service was good - much like Hatta Fort.

This is an odd location. For Dubai resisents this is a popular place for the weekend - especially Friday brunch. It has that feel of an escape from the city. The price includes the whole day so it can be quite busy despite the big beach, lawns and 3 pools. For tourists is is rather a long way out of town if you want to be at the malls and tourist sights. It is a long drive down the Sheik Zayed Road and then around the port. Absolutely nothing whatsoever nearby to walk to. If it is just a bit of sun and a few trips it would be relaxing Oct - April. After that the heat and lack of attrac tions would grate.

Teenager entertainment was a bit thin. The water sports were not promoted that much and there seemed to be one organised sports game each day. Little kids would probably fare better.

Overall, a bit quirky but we found it to be a nice place to be for a short break and big enough for a full on resort holiday if you know about the location and do not pay top Dubai rates.

We've just returned from our fourth visit to Jebel Ali and it was just as great as ever. We always promised ourselves that we wouldn't get 'in a rut' and keep returning to the same place but Jebel Ali has us hooked. We always look forward a relaxing time at this wonderful hotel and we have never been disappointed. We've been at different times of the year including March, June & October and the weather has always been great.

The service in general is always first class and many of the staff now recognise us and even remember our preferences which is incredible considering the number of guests they welcome there.

The food is excellent, especially at the White Orchid and La Traviata where the staff in both restaurants are brilliant.

Personally we prefer to be a little out of town, but it's still close enough to enjoy everything on offer in Dubai.

If you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind then this is certainly the place to be! Roll on June when we are there for our next visit with friends!

My expectations of the Jebel Ali resort were matched completely. It is a great hotel, and worthy of it's 5 stars albeit slightly dated in comparison to some of the big hotels in the city. However, I chose this hotel because of its beach location and the fact it has large gardens in which to rest during the day. There are a number of pools and plenty of sunbeds all around the property.

The breakfast was excellent and has a fair choice of menu's for the evening. The rooms were modern, clean and the serice excellent.

The only draw backs are its location in relation to accessing central Dubai. We didn't expect the cost of continual taxi's in and back. It was approx 100dirams to the airport (£50) and approx £20-30 into Dubai for Malls meals etc... If you are visiting purely to retreat with no desire to go into town, or just to enjoy the golf, then a perfect option - if you intend to sightsee - then budget for the taxi or hire a car?!

Overall though, a lovely hotel in lovely grounds!
