“Fantastic Beach Front Hotel”
Reviewed June 19, 2014

This is my second stay at this hotel and I must say the service just keeps on getting better & better. My previous stays have all been at Jumeriah beach hotel, or as it is now know as Jumeriah Butlins hotel, due to the appalling drop in standards, and the lack of service due to the apparent need to caterer to the Russians.
Mina A' Salam has proved it's self as being one of the most outstanding hotels in the group, the staff are far more attentive, friendly and obliging than I have come across at other 5 star hotels. The entire floor & room had recently been refurbished, which made it feel far more spacious, light & airy compared to last year, and of course it was very comfortable, with all the amenities you could ask for. We paid a little extra this year for the club executive benefits which includes afternoon tea, and early evening drinks & Canapés, coupled with the half board option, which provided us with a hold array of dinning facilities we spent very little on F&B compared to previous years. There are a few things that could still be improved, and would enhance a guests experience. Firstly I was rather disappointed to find I have to pay for water around the pool & on the Beach, specially as this is proved FOC at the executive pool & beach at JBH. Secondly I was rather upset at the fact that I wanted to visit the Zabeel on the palm, and was told there would be a charge for beach use. This I considered to be pretty mean, considering I have been visiting the Jumeriah group hotels for over 15 years, and have introduced many guests to them over this period. This aside however would not stop me from returning, and perhaps management would like to address this for me in the future. The Breakfast is like a banquet & Jesus the egg chef certainty knows how to cook a mean omelet. All in all a really wonderful stay, excellent staff, fine food, great valve for money. Finally a big thanks to Earl & the life guard staff at the JBH executive pool for allowing myself & friends to swim around the BurJ, and tick this off our bucket lists.

Room Tip: Take the executive option, which include private transfers, afternoon tea, evening drinks & cana...

Due to a reservation snafu at the Al Qasr, we stayed in this hotel for two nights and were very pleased. Our upgraded room faced the ocean, with a delightful view of the Burg Al-Arab. Although the architecture a first seemed a tad bleak, once we realized the Yemen fortress approach was deliberate, we quite liked it. Actually, the room had a more functional layout and use of space than did the AlQasr. And as all resort amenities were shared, this was good value. The staff was especially friendly and we would recommend the hotel. Really, all you could want from the resort, minus the architectural flourishes and gilt.
The resort was unexpectedly wonderful with an amazing choice of restaurants and a beautiful beach.

We had a 2 night stopover in a Deluxe Ocean View room. This room had been recently refurbished and was decorated in more pastel colours than I previously remembered. The rooms while not overly large are very comfortable and have balconies. The greatest benefit in staying in this hotel is that it is part of the Madinat Jumeirah complex which comprises 3 hotels and a souk with lots of interesting shopping and a large variety of restaurants. This was a short stay so having everything close by was a big plus, however the Mall of the Emirates is a 5 min drive if you want a large shopping complex. The beach area is very clean and the beach boys were very quick at organising sun lounges, towels etc. The staff at the pool were also very good. If you would like to splurge, have dinner at Pierchic. Food, service and views were excellent.

Living in Dubai we have stayed at many hotels but Mina A Salam is by far the best. Our teens had just finished exams so thought a night away was a great idea. On arrival the greeting and staff were superb and made me love the hotel from then on. The rooms were ready early so were able to gain access immediately. We had refurbished rooms, Ocean view deluxe, which were superb, light and modern. The rooms were side by side with an external door too which meant you could leave main bedroom doors open. The pool was a good size with plenty of shade and sun beds and the beach superb too. There is a large gym with indoor pool and facilities. Another plus. All the staff we met were friendly and professional at all times and gave great service.
The hotel being part of Madinat means you can use the Abras to get around the restaurants, bars and shops free. A great tourist attraction.
We would love to return to this hotel and didn't want to leave.

This hotel is the definition of luxury, everything 5 star perfection and I would love to return.

Tip - some rooms are heavily discounted due to building site next door which they face on to. We stayed in one of these rooms and we're not disturbed by the noise hardly at all, just a bit of beeping when trucks reversing but other than that we hardly noticed. The higher floor you are the better.

Having stayed at the hotel many times over the last few years it is always a pleasure to return.During our stay in the first week of June we were warmly welcomed back by everyone, particularly Rakesh and Shashank.Special thanks to Laura Allen and her excellent staff in the Club Lounges, the 'Double Act' of Elton and Abbas are particularly good fun to be with.
The building of 'Phase Four' next door to the Mina means some noise can be heard during the day on the beach, fortunately our room was as far away from the work being done.

As always our next visits are already booked and are already counting down the weeks until our next return in September.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from building work.
