“Stunning hotel”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

My recent stay in Dubai was a combined business/pleasure. The hotel staff will bend over backwards here to make you happy. You are greeted with a fresh towel and juice when you arrive, waited on like royalty through your stay. I did stay in one of the "construction" zone rooms, and honestly people- NOT BAD. If you want to stay in an amazing place, how often are you really in the room from 9-5 on vacation anyhow? Our room had view of the Burj al Arab and was fabulous. The resort is HUGE, walking distance (or they will cart you in a buggy or boat ride so you don't have to walk) to many restaurants, bars, the souk (shopping). Room amenities are standard, but noticeably convenient is the wall which will accept plugs from UK/USA, etc without converters, plus a USB port for charging. Bathroom has standard amenities, including robes/towels, you get fresh fruit to your room, a turn-down service, and beach bag for use. I did use the gym here and it was amazing. A top notch health club complete with indoor lap swimming pool. Pool area is lovely as is beach, all have service buttons on your umbrella. Beach is very clean, water good for swimming, complete paradise. Hotel has free shuttle to Emirates mall daily. Downtown is quite far depending on where you are going, generally a cab ride is 40-60AED, equiv. of $10-20 so quite cheap! Friday brunch is a BIG to-do here, make your reservations early!! It is also quite costly, both for brunch and any food/drinks in general. Drinks on beach bar generally 65-80 AED PER DRINK, so watch your tab. Overall, amazing resort, service is amazing, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Worthy every penny!

Room Tip: construction zone rooms will safe you 50% and noise is definitely not a concern when you have the ba...

We stayed on this hotel for only one night but it was a wonderful experience. Our room looked onto the beach (and the Burj Al Arab) and it was roomy and luxurious. Not a cheap hotel, by any means, but worth the money. Highly recommended

Once again the Mina a Salam ticked all the right boxes delivering an excellent 9 day Easter break. Despite the hotel being at full capacity there was no noticeable decline in the high levels of service that we have come to expect. The entire team went out of their way to delight us.

We had a newly refurbished room on the 6th floor with the executive package (definitely recommend). Although the light décor was much appreciated, I personally preferred the layout in the old style room. My criticism is that the hair dryer in the new room was fixed to an internal drawer in the sleeping area away from any suitable light. Getting ready in the gloom was a challenge. Also there is significantly less storage space, although not a problem if you are staying for less time. Tiny points and insignificant across our entire stay.

Our Easter break is a time to recharge batteries, catch the sun, relax and enjoy exceptional food and evening entertainment in a luxurious setting. We haven't found anywhere else in the world that delivers quite like the Madinat Jumeirah. Once again thank you, we will be back next year.

Tip for first time visitors - book all your restaurants online prior to arrival, particularly during peak season. Its a great service.

Room Tip: The central block facing the sea catches the sunsets better than the wing. Also further away from a...

It used to be one of the top options up until recently, i.e. the years of the Dubai financial crisis. It is not anymore. The Front Desk personnel is absolutely uneducated to service high end clientele - other than Russians on their first trip abroad. The infrastructure of the hotel is exactly as it used to be when it first opened some plenty of years ago, with the difference that it now looks like an empty cemetery. Restaurants exactly the same - nothing new - everything looking and being old. Rooms are nice as long as you have a front views one. No reason to spend your money there either on business or on vacation. Chinese restaurant and Steak house are very good, but you don't need to stay in the hotel just to enjoy your dinner.

Room Tip: Try another hotel.

Dear Guest

Thank you for your contructive feedback following you recent business trip to Dubai.

We had refurbished half of our guest rooms last year with a more modern design and the second phase to complete the project, will starts by summer this year. The pool has also been refurbished and we have a recently open a new Mexican restaurant located near to the pool area.

There will be more exciting changes to come and I hope you will have the opportunity to once again experience Mina A'Salam in the future.

A belated review! We spent 7 days in this most gorgeous Hotel and wanted to stay for so much longer, everything lived up to our high! expectations from start to finish, and pre stay communications were excellent.
I would like to start by thanking the management and staff of Mina A' Salam at Madinat Jumeirah for a most amazing holiday experience ever!

We were exceptionally well taken care of. Arriving at Madinat Jumeirah is a breathtaking in itself. It is a beautiful setting with palm trees, walkways, bridges, canals, with the ever present dramatic silhouette of Burj Al Arab in the background. Everything is kept in pristine condition! The rooms in tasteful arabic design are very spacious and kept absolutely spotless, Our rooms were stunning, huge luxury bed and fantastic bathroom and shower with the most lovely toiletries.
The beach and the pools are beautiful and service is ever present. Once in a while staff serve complimentary ice lollies and fresh fruit.

There are so much that is special about this place, There is a sea turtle sanctuary, Arabic boats that take you from place to place through beautiful scenery, there is a very charming Arabic market (Souk Madinat), there is a gym with all equipment and classes imaginable, there are challenging climbing walls, there is complimentary access to a water fun park... It just goes on and on! You can stay for months and never run out of things to do and see! In fact, we didn't have any reason to leave the place.

There is a huge selection of cafes, bars and restaurants for all meals of the day - and the food they serve is excellent.

What really stands out, though, and positions this resort above all others We have visited worldwide is the service. It is absolutely impecable and gave us an anniversary to remember.

I simply loved this hotel. It has everything you could wish for. Great rooms, great staff and great food. You couldn't wish for better service. The staff are so polite and always greet you with a smile. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel as they really can't do enough for you. It has a lovely swimming pool with very comfy sun beds and the beach is close by where the sun beds are equally as comfortable. You can jump on a buggy to take you along the beach pathway or to the restaurant along the beach. You must take a ride on the Abras which are tiny boats that take you around the complex to any other part of the hotel or restaurants. I enjoyed this hotel so much I really can't wait to return. My compliments to everyone in this hotel who make it such a lovely place to be for a super holiday.
