“Would go back tomorrow”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

Firstly I love trip advisor and would not stay anywhere without checking it out on here first so thought it only fair to share my lastest Trip.

Mina a salam was an amazing hotel, as others have mentioned your credit card details are taken by reception on check-in and a tab of AED 3,000 is opened, but my tip would be to pay off the bill at the end of each day (pay in cash) otherwise you may get a nasty suprise at the end of your holiday as drinks are not cheap but are essential esp around the pool! first day spent nearly £100! on some bottles of water, two sangrias and light snack at the pool! also that way you will not get charged from your card issuer either.

On reading others reviews I was aware that some had been given views of scrubland from the deluxe rooms, so in advance I contacted the hotel directly to ask if at all possible that we were NOT given a room with this view and was told they would make a note of it and do their best. Sadly upon arrival to our room discovered we had been given a scrubland room! now I know you don't really spend much time in your room but I did request a better view and the hotel was not full and just disapointed with the hotel on this one point.

Went mid june, very hot but bearable, ALWAYS a lounger by the pool & beach which never seemed crowded which is great considering the size of the complex.

Hotel and complex very tidy and ALL staff were amazing! lovely people. We pre-booked afternoon tea at the Burj Al arab direct with the hotel (AED 425 which is same as al Muna brunch!) golf buggy from Mina took us there and well worth the trip to the Skybar.

Amazing hotel and would love to return when my baby is a little older as the hotel seemed great for families and couples. Can't wait to go back! keep up the good work

Room Tip: Arabian deluxe rooms may all have a view of scrubland so request a better view if possible before go...

I visited in March, my friend who lives in Al-Ain treated me, and I took many pictures as I felt like royalty. I would stay there again if I could afford it.
Incredible experience, and decor.

Room Tip: We had rooms that over looked the restaurants and Turtle sanctuary

Excellent all round, this place is a very special hotel with service out of this world. We would not stop anywhere else in dubai. Breakfasts lovely, i would go half board and pay the top ups for their best restaurants, avoid the chinese in the mina salam we found it cold enviroment and a poor menu. Segreto-italian and the thai are amazing. You get everywhere by boat and golf boogies. Lovely hotel and people, mina salam is alround excellent.

We have just returned from Dubai & just had to let people know about our experience. Mina a Salam is an excellent place to stay whilst in Dubai. The littles touches they put every effort into are lovely for example - hourly ice lollies, cold towels & cucumber slices, every day when we went back to our room they would leave a towel animal for our son as well as a squishy water toy for him to use in the pool!!
In would have given 5 stars but we found the staff in the restaurant in the hotel itself, Al Muna, were not as attentive as they were in the other restaurants in the resort. We preferred Toscana (Italian) & The Wharf (English).
We went on a half board basis & recommend this highly - you get a choice of at least 15 restaurants to choose from but be prepared for the cost of drinks - cheapest bottle of wine was around £30.00. Soft drinks were also quite expensive especially around the pool area - if you order using the waiter service the price is doubled - around 40 dirhams (about £7.50).
This however has not put us off & we are already planning to go back next year :)

Room Tip: Arabian deluxe room is the standard room but is in our opinion one of the best rooms we've ever...

Visited Dubai many times and this hotel is still the best we have experienced. Difficult to explain what is so good about it but easy to say whats poor... NOTHING. From the private transport from the airport with iced towels and cool drinks to the very easy and speedy check in the Premium Lounge, the beautful room, breath taking views.
The staff are very friendly and well trained. Whilst discussing staff I must mention Dorothy and her team in the Premium Lounge.. nothing is too much trouble and newcomer Ray... a delight to talk with.
We ate in the evening mainly at the Al Muna as we prefer buffet style dining, lots of choice and warm plates !!! Hopefully see you all next year XXX

The lobby of this hotel is breath taking, the Jumeirah brand showing itself again to be first class. The hotel has many outlets, with our favourite being the Bahri bar which overlooks the Burj Al Arab. Its a must see if you are in Dubai.. the terrace of this bar shows the Burj Al Arab in all its glory. We have also stayed in this hotel, but a few years ago, the rooms are wonderful, with egyptian cotton bed linen, fantastic layout and most have views over the arabian gulf. Its a fantastic place for a holiday, as the Al Qsar, Mina A Salam, and madinat jumeirah are all linked.

Room Tip: Any Jumeirah hotel is tip top quality.. with the service and luxury only Dubai can do so well.

I won a trip at work to stay at this hotel and i wasn't disappointed with the stay! I have been to Dubai several times before but had only eaten here, so it was to actually nice to a be a guest there. The service, room, pool, restaurants were all amazing. Having to deal with a group of insurance salesmen and woman is a hard job at the best of times, but the staff made us all feel extremely welcome and helped with everything. The hotel has several restaurants and is attached to the Madinat shopping centre where most of the facilities are, such as trilogy nightclub, Trader Vics, The meat co, amongst other restaurants bars and shops. The Friday brunch at the terrace restaurant is one of the best ive been to in Dubai! The beach was lovely, and you can get free entry to wildwadi as a guest. A great hotel and a great location. Close to Burj al arab, Jumeriah beach hotel and wild wadi.
