The city has the biggest, the fastest, the most dynamic and ever evolving infrastructure is what we've heard before embarking on our maiden trip to Dubai. We had a small kid (2.5 year old) and wanted a place at a central location, easily accessible, modern and relaxing. After much ado, wifey zeroed onto Jumeirah Emirates Towers (JET is how they like to call it), an iconic building at Sheikh Zayed road to spend our anniversary.
And a great choice it proved out to be. Our experience at this hotel is inexplicable in words. Though it takes pride in calling itself as a business hotel, leisure tourists like ours were equally at ease. We stayed from 10th Nov to 14th Nov, 2016 for our anniversary and the staff made sure that our special occasion was made extra special. A complimentary room upgrade (Burj Khalifa view room) on the 44th floor, special anniversary cake, and candies for our little one were welcome surprises which were clear signs that it was gonna be a good, good stay!
A special thanks to Sid Yadlapati, who made sure that we're having a great time with the stay and a thumbs up to Sven Wiedenhaupt on managing a great team, all of them ensuring a wonderful stay for the guests.
The good:
1. The Club Lounge at the 42nd floor, a good place for a relaxing evening drink and tea.
2. The concierge and porter services which were efficient and getting a taxi from the porch was a breeze.
3. Swimming Pool -- was clean and had ample sunbathing space and loungers. Our kid was offered a complimentary swim diaper which was useful to ensure hygiene inside the pool.
4. Shuttle to Wild Wadi, Zero Gravity and Dubai Mall: On time with zero waiting time. So the guests should ensure they reach the pick up point on time. Though the shuttle get really crowded at certain times and during the weekends so a first come first serve is what they follow.
The better:
1. Room + view -- which was beautiful with comfortable beds and was comparatively larger than the other club rooms that we've stayed in (pic attached).
2. Toiletries -- Appelles, the luxury Australian skincare branded products (seemed like from their Black Label range) ensured a relaxing bath after a long day @outdoors.
3. Breakfast -- A good breakfast spread at Mundo which they serve till 11am on weekdays and till 11:30am on weekends which was very good considering we came back late nights and slept till late next morning. A LIVE juice counter @breakfast was good to have.
4. Complimentary entry to wild wadi water park and zero gravity beach club -- It was a good experience and one can easily spend an entire day at these places though we spent half day each.
5. Travel desk: Ali @Raina Tours at the hotel is as efficient and as knowledgable as it gets.
The best:
1. Room Service: Prompt, efficient, courteous. After having travelled to multiple countries across continents and stayed at various hotel chains, we can safely say that theirs was one of the best in room dining experience that we've come across (and we do order a lot of food in the room). They're ingenious to come up with an 'Aloo Parantha' for the kid @1:00am even after their Indian chef had left. A sure sign that the 'guest friendly' culture runs across the hotel.
2. Sid and his team: Reiterating on our earlier compliment, Sid and his efficient team ensured a wonderful stay for us for the 5 days we're at the hotel.
Cons: None that we came across.
Recommendation: Highly recommended.
