Stayed here for the first part of our Honeymoon in July 2012 for 3 Nights. Right from the start we were well looked after and treated like royalty. The hotel itself is amazing and clean throughout. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge variety. Our room was huge and had a very luxurious feel to it. Marble floor and bathroom was magnificent. The staff were great and this hotel pulled out all the stops for us. No problems at all throughout the stay!! Would definately visit again if we were to return to Dubai.

Have recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton for 5 nights. We enjoyed the facilities of the Club Lounge which was worth the extra money. Food is served all day and drinks are included in the evening. The property itself has been very tastefully designed, is relatively small and low rise. Many of the surrounding hotels are either sky scrapers or a buggy would be required to travel around. The sun loungers are spread out over both grassy and sandy areas, rather than placed uniformly around a swimming pool as in other places. The grounds stretch to the beach but are raised above it so retaining a degree of privacy. In the Spa everything has been thought of, which was much appreciated when we used the facilities before our flight (late evening flight). This is the best hotel for service that I have ever stayed in. The staff are efficient and attentive without being obsequious. Also very much enjoyed talking to staff from Kenya, Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, Morocco, Syria, Germany, South Africa. Each one of them was extremely courteous and thoughtful. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms 551, 552, 553 etc (to the side) get the sun for most of the day and have bigger balconies than...

Had a 4 night day in one a suite in the newly refurbished wing (the other wing is currently undergoing renovation and will be completed next year)
We arrived very early circa 0800hrs from an overnight flight and were delighted to find that they had a suite ready. Check in was smooth and we were escorted to the room by the affable Charles. Our suite was on the second floor and didnt have a great view (higher floors are better) - Charles did kindly offer to see if he could find us a room on a higher floor but we were tired and declined.
The room is very spacious with a large sitting room and twin balconies - all mod cons with good sound systems, pop up flat screen tv's, nice dressing up area between bedroom and bathroom. Bathrooms are spectacular with top end fittings and free standing slipper bath and a huge double rainwater shower - One of the best bathrooms we have ever had !
As only half the hotel is open as previously mentioned it is quiet which is nice as the busy JBR walk (a bit tacky really) is just outside the hotel.
The hotel is dwarfed by the recent high rise buildings but having been built some time ago enjoys very very spacious grounds and good access to the busy beach.
All staff make a big effort to be welcoming and we would certainly consider the hotel again on our next visit to Dubai.
I have reviews the hotel restaurants separately

Room Tip: The new suites are really high end - upper floors have the better views

Rooms are nice, good sizes terraces, pool and beach facities excellent. Food and service to a high standard. Excellent " club house" facilities- well worth the extra room charge. Fancy electronic locking system on doors makes them very nosy and irritating late at night and early in the morning

Room Tip: Keep away from service rooms and staircases as doors are very noisy when opening and closing

Having stayed twice before there was no doubt we would be returning! Excellent service. Surprisingly staff remembered us from our last trip which was pleasant. Upon our arrival our room was not ready and had to wait in the Club Lounge. While we was waiting we had breakfast the staff was attentive and apologetic. As expected our stay was pleasant without any problems throughout. Excellent location. Would be staying there again on my next visit!

Room Tip: Club Lounge sea view

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend at the Ritz Carlton and there is no doubt whatsoever that we will stay there again on our next trip.

We arrived on the late flight out of London and arranged for the hotel to send a car to collect us. We were out of the airport, transported to the hotel and checked in quickly and smoothly making the 1 am arrival no problem at all.

The accommodation in the new wing is very spacious and well-appointed, we booked a Junior Suite with sea view (it was huge) and Club access.

The Club Lounge is excellent and, we felt, well worth the additional charge. All of the staff were very attentive throughout our stay but do look out for Godfrey who was outstanding. The food was very well presented and the bar service very efficient.

The pool areas, gardens and beach front and well maintained and again the staff really want to make you happy.

Being on The Walk and within an easy stroll of the Marina makes the location great, there are not many hotels in Dubai which give you the ability to walk around the area - the Metro is also within walking distance and is a great alternative to taxis to get around and explore.

Overall a little oasis of calm which has left us feeling refreshed and pampered.

Had a nightmare pick-up from the airport, was driven by a rude wannabe racing car driver, who threw us (2 adults and 3 kid) around like we weren't in the car. Arrived at the hotel with no one to greet or help us to unload our luggage, the driver just stood and was look for a tip!!! The cheek!! Eventually got to the reception desk. I was shocked to be told that they like to pre-approve my credit card for some hotel spending, when they have already pre-approved AED 51,000 for the room for my entire stay. I was not very happy at this point and started thinking that i have made a big mistake by booking this hotel. What was worst, was the room was not ready for our occupation, i.e. was only made up for 2 people and not a family. Having said, the rest of our stay was amazing the staff were friendly and made us all very welcomed. Overall a very nice experience except for the first 2 hours of our arrival.

Room Tip: Suite 538 is a must.
