“Treated Like Royalty!”
Reviewed January 9, 2007

Been meaning to get around to writing my review since I returned. I know it;s now a few months on since my visit, but I just feel I have to tell everybody how wonderful this place really is.

Went to Dubai with my fiance and our 5 year old son for 6 nights and all of us loved it. My son keeps asking when we are going back. There wasn't many kids for him to play with but the waiters and pool staff always took the time to make a fuss of him and give him free ice cream. He also loved the kiddies 'Penguin Club' and although he was the only child there at times, he had great fun with the staff.

The standard of food was excellent, always plenty, however, my son who's quite a picky eater struggled to find things he liked. We did dine in the italian restaurant one night and this was awesome, my son loved the pizza.

When we were there the main pool was being refurbished and was out of use, which I did think would spoil our stay a little. But the other infinity pool was so good and had excellent views of the beach and the sea, I didn't mind at all.

Our room was on the 3rd floor, at the end of the corridor and was really quiet. Having taken a peek in the other rooms when they were being cleaned, our room was twice the size in comparison. The one thing I loved about the rooms was the luxurious carpet, it was such a nice change from cold tiled floors on other holidays.

Don't let any of the negative remarks put you off booking Le Meridien. I can't understand how anyone could fault this place. The only down side of the holiday is the fact that every other hotel has been and will probably continue to be rubbush in comparison.

All in the all this hotel was amazing. Everything was 5 star and I can't wait to go back for longer next time.

We have been to this hotel twice (each time for 2 weeks) and loved it both times! We have 2 kids (9 and 6) and they are begging to go back again! The kids club at the hotel (called "Penguin Club) is absolutely fantastic. We had to drag my daughter out of there every afternoon to swim with us. The same people were working in the kids club both times we went-my daughter enjoyed seeing everyone again. The service was fantastic and if there ever was a problem, they fixed it right away. We are hoping to go again this Easter (can't decide between Dubai and Morocco!!).

  • Liked — Great pool and kids club
  • Disliked — lack of informal dining choices
  • Tips/Secrets — Stay here---you won't be disappointed!!!

Having previously worked for one of the best 5* resorts in Dubai previously, I was unsure what to expect from Le Royal Meridien, however not to be dissapointed.
The service in this hotel was stunning. Not intimidating, not to little, not too much, perfect. Checking in for 7 nights on a trip to see friends and colleagues the staff of Le Royal Meridien made my trip all that bit extra special. From the helpful concierge to nightly turn down with chocolates and flowers, Pam Wilby (General Manager) has a hotel and team to be proud of.
The hotel was immaculately clean and meal service, including afternoon tea service incredibly. The at beach service couldn't be rivalled with traditional UAE hospitality including water, ice slush, cold towels, drinks service etc.
Another favourite of mine, Grosvenor House was serviced by a complimentary shuttle bus which is well worth a visit. Try out Mezannine Restaurant or Bar 44 located on (you guessed it!) the 44th floor with fantastic views. For the men theres also 1847, a male only salon for shaving, barbers and also manicures, pedicures, facials, massages etc.
Overall a fantastic stay!

  • Liked — Outstanding Service!
  • Disliked — My return airport transfer was late - book your trip slightly earlier than planned!
  • Tips/Secrets — Take the shuttle to Grosvenor House for even more delights!

Stayed at Le Royal Meridien during Ramadan for 6 nights. The hotel is amazing, the staff cannot do enough for you! Whilst sunbathing by the pool the staff are always bringing around chilled water sprays, cold towels and mini slush drinks. Just what you need when the temperature is 38degrees. There are 3 pools to choose from and golf buggies to take you to the beach. Lots of restaurants to choose from. We ate at Al Khaima: Middle Eastern cuisine in a great outdoor setting. Sea Breeze: A wide variety to choose from and the barman makes the best cocktails. The breakfast buffets where also great, with an amazing variety to choose from. The building works going on around the hotel will not ruin your stay at all as once inside the hotel you will not even notice them.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in early December for 4 nights.
We had been told that it was a good place to stay in Dubai and that proved to be the case. Our room was not ready when we arrived but that was 9am in the morning but as promised it was ready by noon. The room was excellent as were the grounds and pools. We ate in three of the hotel restaurants, The Prime Rib, Fusion and the fish restaurant all were very good with great service as well as excellent food. Also the service in the bars was fantastic. We had a sea view room which I would recommend as the rooms on the other side looked on to the building work on the new marina. If we went to Dubai again we would go back to this hotel.

  • Liked — The Hotel Service
  • Disliked — The Traffic jams on the road outside
  • Tips/Secrets — Pay extra for a sea view room

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon. Although we did not inform the hotel of this before our arrival, the staff went out of their way to help us celebrate. They even baked us a special congratulations cake and put it in our room one day.
We visited other hotels in Dubai for lunch/dinner, including the Burj, but we found that the staff and facilities at the Royal Meridien were far superior. The surroundings are idyllic and the rooms are large and clean. They even leave you a 'fruit of the day' and other little snacks.
We would particularly recommend the arabic restaurant in the hotel, Al Mahara. We went here for dinner on our first night. There was a belly dancing show and a great atmosphere. The food was very very good. So we had to go back for lunch on our last day and again it was a very high standard.
The staff at this hotel are what makes it so special- they cannot do enough for you. We would definitely recommend it- by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa - Nov 2006
My wife and I visited this hotel for a week after being recommended to it by a previous guest. What a super hotel it is, and the staff are incredibly friendly and obliging. If you like a really nice hotel, great food and fantastic service then this is the hotel for you.

  • Liked — Everything - The the hotel and staff were excellent.
  • Disliked — You had to use the hotel courtesy buses or a taxi as it is impossible to walk anywhere outside of the hotel grounds because of the busy roads
  • Tips/Secrets — Make full use of the Spa & Gym as its is a good way to work up an appetite for all that lovely food !!
