Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek

My husband and I have stayed here three times in the past six months always Club rooms and suites twice. We have at least a two day stopover on our way to wherever we are headed and find it a balm for the stress of long flights. We are both elderly and enjoy the old world luxury and privacy this hotel offers and indeed I believe without it, we would travel less. The bed is the most comfortable we have found, the staff are wonderfully helpful and we always enjoy the breakfast and high tea and have found the restaurants of a high standard. The gym is well appointed and we use it during our stays. We like this hotel also for its close proximity to the Spice and Gold Souks and enjoy watching the life on the Creek from our balconies. We cannot recommend this hotel too highly.

Stayed at the Radisson Blu Deira Creek from the 22 to 27 Dec together with my wife. Its a good hotel, we got one of the royal club rooms. We had asked for an airport pick-up, and the check-in at the hotel was relatively painless.
The room was really good, we had asked for a non smoking room which we got, however we could still smell smoke possibly coming from one of the other rooms. The hotel is situated right next to one of the metro stations, so using this hotel as a base to move around dubai is quite good. I also used the hotel gym which again was ok. All in all ok hotel, not spectacular.
As of Dec 2012 the pool is still closed for renovations - a bit strange it takes this long to renovate the pool.

Room Tip: Get the Royal Club rooms, much better experience.

This is an Royal Hotel to live & dine centrally located in Dubai. Accessible to any means of transport namely, METRO, BUS, TAXI and Airport not more than 8 Kms. They have very good restaurant offering Authentic Sea Food and other cuisines. It consists of various shops selling Antiques, Gifts Articles and MOST EXPENSIVE watches New & Old. Overall there could not be a place well organized giving Value for your money and excellent Cost to Comfort ratio in Dubai.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on the fourth floor which gives good CITY VIEW.

I stayed at this hotel back in 2001 when it was the Intercontinental, all the good things remain and it as had some welcomed improvements. Staff are still great, service is good but restaurants, whilst good, are beginning to become expensive. It needs a reasonable priced coffee shop where simple, cheap snacks can be had for the times when you don't want a full meal

Great stay. Well situated to old city and Deira Creek. Had an awesome boat dinner on the Creek! Staff are attentive, and additional cafes and dining onsite is great. You can enjoy the evening or early morning on the room balconies - small but adequate for a single person or couple.

Lovely hotel, and would recommend to anyone who is not hooked on a very modern decor new hotel. Would stay again.

The location is excellent, close to the Dubai Creek and the Souk. However the price is high for a somewhat dated hotel. On the plus side there is a very good choice of restaurants in the complex - Italian, Persian, Japanese, Fish and a pub. Also the Hotel has a 'restaurant boat' which travels along the Creek at night - a good night out. The location trumps all other features.

Room Tip: Ask for Creek view

Stayed at the Blu in December 2012 for 2 nights while being on a business trip.
The hotel is good to stay if only the location suits you for your business purpose. My office is 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel so i don't really have a choice on the hotel selection. The hotel though is far away from the city centre and if you get stuck in traffic you waste time for no reason.
The hotel is quite old. The rooms look old and heavy. The furniture, the small balcony with the decade-old chair and table, the really old bathroom, bathtub, ceiling and toilet are some things you will definately notice.
Staff is really good, everywhere you look you can find somebody to help you. Lots of choices for dining in the hotel. Had lunch at the enlglish pub before i left for the airport. Average food and service.
Also had dinner in the room. Delicious soup and chicken and great service.
I also used the limo service to drive me around the city and was really good. The driver knew eveything about Dubai and was really willing to answer my questions and follow the places i liked to see.

Overall a good experience. The rooms need to be fixed and given a fresh air look.Good hotel, good staff...
